Kanu is herself again!

Okay, let me explain.

 

My Kanu didn't come with her default outfit, she had some other Volks sets instead. After I got her, I asked the seller on ebay if he had sold them separately or not. He replied that when he got Kanu several years ago, he got her blank with no clothing or wig, just her head, eyes and body. He bought her some wigs and clothes and after a while, put her in a box and stored her in a closet for a year. It was sad to hear she got locked away for that long but the seller was happy to hear that I had plans for her and that she would go into a large family of DD's.

 

Anyways, it seems my Kanu hadn't had her default wig or outfit for a LONG time. I knew I'd have to eventually find her wig and clothing but wasn't sure how long it would take. Thankfully, my buddy Mitsuki came thru TWICE for me. She found us a default wig and sent it along so Kanu would have that until we could get her clothing. But just last week, Mitsuki came thru again and found her default set for us! It was a really good price so I couldn't turn it down. It arrived today and Kanu and I are so stoked to finally have her complete!

 

So here are some photos of her in her full default outfit along with her weapon that I already had.

And she can finally HOLD things! I like the gloved look too, now she can complement Ryomou when Mou-chan wears her gloves!

I hate to say it but she looks a bit more imposing with this weapon than Sprout does.

Thank you! You're right, I have Kanu with me in the computer room now and I can't help but grinning stupidly at her every few minutes. It's just one of those things where I *never* thought I'd own one and now here she is, in all her glory, right before my eyes. It's a really good feeling.

That's a really good question! But I'm pretty sure Sprout will be keeping this weapon and Kanu will be using something a bit different. Kanu is a master with her Blue Dragon Crescent Blade for sure but she's also extremely good with other types of blades.... maybe even mythical ones.... More to come once we get her inducted into The Maid Brigade.

I'll have to see what else she will wear after I get her out of this set.... which won't be soon because I just love seeing her in this too much!

Ha ha! I don't think Elisabeth likes the skimpy outfits like this but she may still like the colors on it. As for the Mythical Mitsuki, she's a hard one to catch. You'll have to try and find her under a double rainbow on the second Tuesday of Nevuary in order to access her help mode. Trust me, that ain't easy to do!

Thank you very much! You really haven't seen a fullset Kanu before this? I figured you would have by now as there are usually a few on FFM and such. But if you haven't, I'm glad I could share mine with you so you can see it in full! I agree that she's awesome for sure, I just love her in her default gear! haha A 155k yen Kanu that sold quite quickly in Japan says that you still made out pretty well despite Kanu's total cost adding up bit by bit.

And it looks like poor Baldylox kind of has to share me since I help Traveller and mystery 3rd guy too. haha

We were looking at that Rise head. Another friend wanted a DDIII body, so we split a full set. The head is about $600 or $650 in the end with shipping etc. Costs really add up buying things from Yahoo! Japan Auctions. The right arm on the DDIII body doesn't stay in one piece and falls apart easily so we can't sell the body for much. But everything about DDs is very risky. You have to approach it like you are never getting the money you put into it back out. The market is terrible lately too. It makes me laugh at those body shortage days when DDII was going for $300 or even $350 and DDIII was $400-$500. Or even the craziness when DDS first came out and there were bodies for $650 even. I did a split for a DDS Marisa long ago and lost $300 trying to sell the body. My partner could only pay a certain amount for the head and no one was going to pay $600 for the body. This is an expensive hobby.

Yep, I agree with you there. Adding up what I paid for her and her outfit taking out the sales of those two Volks outfits she came with, I'm still way less than that one and well below her normal pricing. So I'm super happy everything came together like it did.
