Hi there! I've been fighting the allure of Dollfie Dreams for a bit now, and am still trying to decide if I want to take the plunge or not, so I figured in the meantime why not admire all your dollies?

 

Ideally, I think I'd like to try my hand at customizing my own DDH-01 head and putting it on a MDD body, because I just generally find those proportions the most adorable and I won't lie, I'm a sucker for adorable. Some of the clothing available for the MDDs by Volks is also some of the cutest doll clothes I've seen. I also really love the SQ Lab doll heads, so I've been considering a hybrid as well. And the DDH-04 head has been growing on me too. So many choices, and so many cute dollies how is a girl to decide?

Haha, I'm actually a little terrified of painting a faceup and even modding a head, but I'm thinking of buying a bitty obitsu head to try some faceups and modding out. I know it'll be different due to scale, but at least it'll give me an idea of if I can do faceups myself or need to send any heads out. Or continue scouring yahoo!japan for modded heads that catch my eye.

I just got my very first DD and I'm in the process of trying to work up enough courage to do the faceup either later this week or early next week. I'm also getting ready to post my first story even though her face isn't done. I figure that I'll eventually step up and once I've got her face done, I'll just make an 'ending' to my first story to show her when she's complete. If you want to try a faceup, I say "go for it"! (I know...I really know....easy to say, very tough to do! Anyway...welcome!

I think you will find enough reference pics to make the best decision ... In my opinion a MDD 01 would be great, i also love them ^^ (But only have one for my own XD)
