If it's not too confusing, I'm just going to put all my custom faceups in this thread too! Keeps things tidy.

 

Here's a custom SQ Lab Luka head that I did to further my current catgirl obsession :3

I modded her nose and upper lip to be less prominent. Modding SQ Lab heads is pretty easy and I haven't found air bubbles as in Volks vinyl heads, so I may add a mod option for custom resin heads.

 

Materials used are Rembrandt pastels, Prismacolor watercolor pencil, and acrylics paints (Windsor & Newton Studio, Daniel Smith). I like to paint the base layer of the eyelashes with a warm brown, and then go over it with a payne's grey for a really vibrant contrast.

Here's a SQ Lab Chibi Tsubaki I recently completed - the instruction was simply to make her similar to my own Tsubaki, who is based on Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi.

 

A little warm-up practice. Painting semi-white heads is awesome! Good chance to try some new materials and colors, too

 

Oh, your 06 girl is so cute!! And I like your Tsubaki too, so much personality. Are you opening up shop again soon?

 

I just got a semi-white head too! It's a really nice color.

I missed out on the window again. Still keep trying to wait for your face up commission with a closed head eyes because I love your blushing. With closed eyes, good blushing is the absolute must!!

Custom mod/faceup semi-white HDD-07 - she's based on Three from the Drakengard series. It was fun to try a girl that's more dark and less cute :3

 

She looks awesome, great job! I didn't even recognize her as 07 lol
