Migon Posted July 20, 2013 We had a photo meet-up not long ago and two of our girls had some damage to them during it. Seityan broke her shoulder and Mina had a part of her spine broken. Broken shoulder by Migon_, on Flickr This is what broke on Seityan. Repair process by Migon_, on Flickr Easy fix atleast. Repair process 2 by Migon_, on Flickr Drilled up the holes as the screw was a little to big for the orginal holes. Repair process 3 by Migon_, on Flickr Repair process 4 by Migon_, on Flickr I put the nut in the hole and pressed it in. Repair process 6 by Migon_, on Flickr Put the plastic ring back to keep the plastic bit that stops the shoulder from rotating. Repair process 7 by Migon_, on Flickr Have a small washer between the screw and the platic. Repair process 9 by Migon_, on Flickr And screw it all together. Repair process 10 by Migon_, on Flickr Seityan can once again move her arm like it should! Seityan is fixed again! by Migon_, on Flickr Now onto Mina's shoulder. Nasty cracks... Broken spine by Migon_, on Flickr Take the spine apart to reach the part you want to fix. Broken spine 2 by Migon_, on Flickr I put the nut back while I applied epoxy and put the parts together and hold them for a bit. Let it dry for a while until moving it again. Broken spine 4 by Migon_, on Flickr Screwed the spine back together again and hopes it will hold. Broken spine 5 by Migon_, on Flickr Also found this on Mina's hip part... Found this out also... by Migon_, on Flickr Bent... wonder how this happened? Made this post as the more posts of repairs of DDS and DDIII bodys is always good to have around. My Saber collection. Saluli Posted July 23, 2013 Hi! My Saber has the exact same problem than your Seityan. I am a little afraid of drilling the girl inner pieces (and in the moment am I lacking the tools.... ), so I was thinking.... Would it be possible to glue the pieces together? Using a "plastic-melding" glue, or it would only bring more trouble later? Summon ritual is over. And finally complete.
Migon Posted July 23, 2013 Would it be possible to glue the pieces together? Using a "plastic-melding" glue, or it would only bring more trouble later? It would be possible to join the pieces with epoxy/plastic weld kinds of glues. I believe that would hold it together, but it could cause trouble for later but only way to find out is trying it. Saluli Posted July 23, 2013 Thanks for the info. Maybe I should borrow some tools and do the job. Summon ritual is over. And finally complete.
Nendogamer Posted August 3, 2013 For the shoulder damage, you can put a metal plate on both sides to hold it together serving as reinforcement. Some dollfie repairs are similar as to how one manages a custom gunpla. Other damages are beyond repair due to either power strain when used or really just way beyond repair.
