What are you supposed to do with wig stoppers?

Recommended Posts

So I read that a wig stopper helps to keep a wig in place on it's own, but I don't want her head to be stained!

So I made my order to volks, purchasing a body stocking, wig cap and wig stopper. But how are you supposed to use both the wig cap and stopper like it says here, at the bottom of the page?

I think when they said

  Quote
"* When putting the “Head Cap” on, we recommend the use of “Pitatto Wig (Wig Stopper)” to avoid slippage."

Head cap means the cap of the doll's head and not a wig cap?

are you sure its not a silicone one and then a fabric one? I use that method. The silicone first to hold the fabric one in place

I think the head cap does refer to the wig cap, and the wig stopper goes on over the cap. That's what I do with Hibana and it works quite well.

Specializing in the art of being different, which is a polite way of saying "weird."

I do think I'm too young for this hobby…

Here's a little tutorial about using the Pitatto Wig (or Wig Stopper) by Volks USA.

http://site.volksusa.com/sumikatimes/2011/09/23/basic-styling-pitatto-wig/

They have you put the Pitatto Wig strips on the dolls head then the wig to keep it from moving around. But since you don't want staining to occur you can always do Pitatto Wig Strips, Cloth Wig Cap, and then the wig
