Purity Seal for Face-ups?

Recommended Posts

Eviee

I was wondering if anyone has used Purity Seal to seal their face ups? I bought it from Junky Spot and used it on the 5 heads I have done for my husband. It keeps turning the black of the eyelashes into a dark grey. I am not sure why. The shine gloss does not seem to help.

I went ahead and ordered MSC to use on my DD head to see if that works better for me.

I literally used Purity Seal on a dd faceup last night and had no issues with it altering the colours of my work, it all looks exactly the way it did before coating.

Did you read and follow the usage instructions fully? I did exactly what it said on the instruction manual and my work is fine.

Maybe you spray too much or from too close? I have no problem with it so far.

Thank you I will try some different things, spraying father away, maybe even a new bottle of black in case it is something in the paint itself. I will be doing a couple face ups this weekend

I have found that Purity Seal doesn't play nice with vinyl if it's used as the initial coats. It's fine on top of MSC, but not good as a base. You do have to spray further away because the mist isn't as fine as MSC, plus the spray is more powerful so it's easy to overcoat. Since it's such a big can, sometimes it's better to make sure you warm it up really good to ensure that it's all evenly heated within. Good luck!
