Volks USA lotto first time question.

Hello I am about to make my first potential purchase with Volks USA. The Sakuya Mode Crimson.

My question is about this statement on the page: We expect this item to be ready for delivery in approximately December 2013.

 

Is this the concrete release date for Volks USA? I know there are some already out there from the AE. I cant believe I would have to wait nearly 5 months to get this item. Is it just a place holder date?

Well, don't forget that Volks USA has to get shipments from Japan... and those do take a while

 

and yes, that date 5 months off is usually correct.

The AE hasn't happened yet. The dolls from this time's lottery on YJA and other places are ones that were bought at the Dolpa.

 

It takes 2-3 months for the dolls to get from Japan to the US because all the Volks things go by ship. Then it's usually a week or two to clear customs and then at least another week of sorting.

 

They're going to give us the results mid-August, then they process payment about a week after. The order then won't go in properly until September. So September/October/November and then will likely arrive early to mid December.

 

International Lottery dolls from the After Event can arrive faster because they're not being sent in the same shipments as aerosol cans and can go by plane.
