It is interesting how Volks USA seems to do this a lot lately.. Time some outfit release on the same day as some other Japanese event. Maybe they always did this, but I just never paid attention until now.

well it's not the time issue as an allocated funds issue... XD I can't tempt fate and buy some outfits then not be able to afford Yukiho lol

phew! got the pink balloon dress set after I pleaded with the husb to let me get it (coincidentally if anyone ever wanted the pink version and they have the blue version I mights want to traaade) Yukiho I think would look awesome in this (or mariko, lets not forget her.. ;D)

I got the pink balloon dress set and the polka dot hoodie set was rather surprised, I figured one or the other would get snatched away as I checked out but I managed to get both items I was aiming for.

I was able to get the Pink Balloon Dress as well. Took them almost 10 minutes to start selling stuff online. it was starting to make me a little anxious!

my clock might be off but when it turned 2:04 they finally had the 'add to cart' button. I'm sure with us hammering the site and them trying to upload new info to their yahoo checkout system it can cause some delays.

Their site always goes weird when the are updating it with the event items. All of us hammering on it doesn't help their poor server either I'm sure. At least it's not as horrible as Volks International during the After Event frenzy on their site.

Well this was my first Volks event and I managed to get the pink balloon dress set! Eeeeee I'm so excited for it!

It felt like it took forever for the items to start being available though and I figured they would go out of stock immediately but 10 minutes later and the pink balloon set and the polka dot hoodie set are both still available.

 

Edit: I just clicked on something like 10 items and nothing was sold out I really expected things to sell out instantly.

Well if there was anything you wanted it's still probably available. And for me it's 3:30 in the afternoon so I would have had to *really* sleep in haha

I think the high prices Volks Usa is still using is the primary cause of that. Will be interesting to see if things from this event and the last couple events start selling when they reduce their prices next week.

some items, even with the weak dollar price system, is tech worth it vs paying nearly double in the aftermarket -- usually I hold off, (like I did with the lace up top set..) but after feeling the aftermarket price sting I just decided meh. Hope it meets my expectations... XD

 

though this gives hope for the recent nagoya event items if they carry them with the updated price system. : )

Well considering shipping is 1/3 the cost of the item for me, the difference for the exchange rate wouldn't be all that much, I would rather be sure I got the set. How much did the balloon set retail for in Japan anyway?

I actually managed to get a balloon dress set myself kinda surprised how many people managed to get one! Grats to everyone who got what they were going for :3
