mature MDD?

This is half a photo request, half an opinion request!

 

I noticed that I don't see many large busts on MDD, it seems this body is usually used for child character only.

 

I wanted to use the body for h-04 to make her a more manageable size, but it's going to make her look very young isn't it?

 

If you know of any photos where MDD has been successfully made to look older, please let me know.

 

Also, is there a silicone bust piece available for her or are they exclusively for the larger sizes?

You can put a larger bust and a mature head on an MDD, but they will always have childlike proportions and pudgy baby hands and feet. IMHO they never look like a small adult, but more like a child that started to bloom early. But that's just me. Also, not all heads look good on an MDD body due to them being bigger. Some work fine, some don't.

Maybe you should think about a hybrid with a Parabox 50 body or something. They're only slightly taller, but have a more slender, less baby fatty body.

The default mdd hands actually do bother me a lot, haha.

 

I'm not keen on doing a cross- company hybrid but that would have been a good solution.

 

I think I'll wait for volks to restock the dds body, it's the best compromise.

Not too many people use the MDD L-bust because frankly, when on a girl, it looks like two baseballs stuck onto the front of the torso. At least that's what I think it looks like. Underneath clothing it's fine tho because the size isn't ridiculous.

 

I agree that the size of the MDD L-bust would be fine for an older, shorter character, but the rest of the body is designed to look way more childlike and chubby and you can't really change that. The idea of doing the hybrid Obitsu and 04 DD head is a better option in my opinion. I have 3 DD heads on Obitsu bodies, two 40cm and one 45cm and the 45cm has the Obitsu L-bust on it. For my girl on that body, it fits her very well and looks good. You can see how the Obitsu and MDD bodies differ in this post of mine where I have an 01 head girl and an 04 head on an MDD body:

And yes, they do make a silicone bust in a large size for the MDD body. I've seen pics of it on YJA and other tumbler sites for doll pics and while the size is pretty big, it doesn't look bad at all, even under clothing. So they're out there if you're interested in them for your girl.
