So! The tan skin event is ending this Saturday! Anybody make any orders? Thoughts on their tan skin ine in general?

I actually just did an impulse buy for a Rheia... Hope DDE makes it in time with my layaway >w<

Ah, I didn't have any money for it. T_T I have all the Minifees that I really wanted already, so there wasn't a doll that I just had to have. Also, I am pretty attached to my dolls, so it is not like I could just sell my current dolls and replace them with tan either. However, I would be kind of screwed if they went ahead and did a tan F60 event, since I now have a job again and I've been pining for a tan El. Maybe. They are still kind of pricey, and, despite my fancy title, I am not really paid much at all!

The ones I've seen come in though are very cute, but the tan seems a bit unsatisfying. I have Soom dolls that are very lovely in color and that make the Fairyland tan pictures seem like a slightly darker normal skin in comparison. It sort of seems like Fairyland is afraid of doing a serious tan, maybe because they don't want a backlash about uneven color?

I like tan dolls and I like FL. But I wouldn't order a tan FL doll. They tend to have seam lines, which I don't like, and you can't sand them off since the tan is a surface color (as far as I've heard) rather than an all the way through color. I prefer colored dolls when their resin was cast in that color from the beginning. But maybe they will seem better in person. I know someone locally who ordered a tan Pukipuki I think it was.

I'm very very very excited about this order. I've been wanting a MNF since I realized how awesome MSD size is, and this event just kicked it off for me! And I totally understand about the not selling thing. XD I always wondered what it was like to be not-so-attached to a doll enough to sell her. The thought kinda makes me sad! Maybe because I only have a couple and I love them both so much

And holy moly tan F60s would be so pretty ;_; El would look so mature!!

I always thought my first tan BJD would be a dark shade, but apparently not. XD While FL could have made this batch darker, I'm still drawn to it. It's like a warm/ash/latte color, and I have a grey-ish kinda theme popping into my head when I look at them @_@ Like they're some northern asian type who sat out in the sun for a lil while. It would be so nice to see them try out darker shades though. I saw some recasts that had some really nice shades FL could've tried out. A cool dark coffee color... On a Celine...ooh yeah...

I saw some tans come in and apparently they did a good job taking care of the seam lines from what I've seen picture/box opening-wise. I hope my girl doesn't come in like that ;^; Maybe if I do winding up sanding down seams I could make up a funny story for them, haha...

And TAN PUKIPUKI AAAAAAAA I can't wait to see everyone's girls!

I like the color that Luts puts out, they have such a pretty tan! But, I guess the tan they have now is rather nice. It seems a bit like Resinsoul's coffee color, which isn't that bad at all. And I'd rather Fairyland dip their toes in the tan pool, rather than avoid it all together. And Rheia is very cute to begin with, so when you get her, don't forget to snap a couple of pictures now.

I've been pretty much avoiding looking at the DoA thread though. All I need is to think of some other tan girl as a friend for my Kitty, or yet another brother for my Cricket. Or, heavens, a tan Kyle as a fully demon possessed Crow. ...This is probably going to a place where I shouldn't be thinking of the possibilities. Heavens, I also still need to save for a body for one!

Heavens, as if Rika wasn't bad enough when it comes to clothes... My Minifee boys prefer Heisejinyao, only one of them has his outfit. I still want to buy outfits for the other four, we can't have all this temptation rolling in here. Yessir, Saturday can't roll around here soon enough!
