♡ Mabuhay from the Philippines! ♡

Hi!

 

I'm Trisha. I'm from the Philippines, based in the city of Manila. ("Mabuhay" is a standard greeting in Filipino, my native language. It means "long live", usually connoted as "cheers" or "hurray" XD)

 

I've been a doll lover ever since I was a little girl. I got into ball-jointed dolls around 2006 or 2007, got my first BJD in 2009, and I've been active in that aspect of the doll hobby ever since. Currently, I have five BJDs, and now I've literally dug a hole for my wallet - may it rest in peace - by getting into Dollfie Dreams.

 

I've actually nursed MDD feelings for quite some time now, as evidenced buy my MDD To Buy text file which was first created in 2011. With Volks releasing a Hatsune Miku DD, I was officially and completely DD crazed. I really want to get her, and I'm also hoping to finally bring my MDD home! The character I have in mind for the MDD is a huge fan of Vocaloid, so having her around to see her favorite come out of her box would be hilarious. XD

 

My biggest concern would have to be faceups. I have a bit of experience doing faceups on resin heads, but vinyl just strikes me as an absolutely foreign and alien material. ) I'm so scared of messing up and staining the doll forever! I'll probably be spending a lot of time in the Painting and Customization subforum, haha. XD

Do you have your first MDD girl yet? I usually find the faceups of most limited girls to be really pretty, so I don't have plans on swapping them out myself yet |D . I hope you get your first girl soon!

I am so in love with the Miku DD, it's crazy. I just need to confirm if she's paid for upon pre-order or paid for when she's ready to ship. I really hope it's the latter, because I am so in if that's the case. It'll be my first time joining a Volks pre-order, vinyl or otherwise, so I'm still trying to learn as much as I can. ^_^

I left a comment in the DD Miku thread asking that, no new replies yet but I really, really hope it's the latter. If it's pay upon pre-order, I really don't think I can get her. 3 So hopefully it's pay upon shipping so I can save more, haha!

 

I'm still not sure when I can bring my MDD home by October, but I'm targeting before the year ends! I hope to see you and your girls in October so I can fangirl over them in anticipation for mine. XDDD

I know! More time to save would definitely be a plus ;__; I like miku but it was the face sculpt that won me over aaaaa- (But we'll probably never know until po's for her open asjkfawe-)

 

I definitely will be going! I kinda hope there'd be more DD girls present at the event, I only know a few local DD owners myself aaah ;v;
