mitsuki Posted September 17, 2013 I used mild soap in ambient temperature water and let it soak overnight. It turned the water blue. I was thinking of soaking another night just in case.
mitsuki Posted September 17, 2013 Please share what they reply here with us! I'm interested in hearing what they have to say. I received another reply from Volks USA earlier. I informed them about the stands staining the dolls, and they thanked me and also said that they'd inform their headquarters of the issue. I believe if Volks never knows about any of these issues, they'll never be able to fix them. I'm glad they were willing to listen and reply to me. I was worried about it for awhile. I agree that we have to tell them things so they know what customers want. They don't have to necessarily act on it but at least they acknowledge that it is a concern. jadepixel Posted September 23, 2013 I did a quick test this weekend with Chihaya's wig, cause it's just too pretty to leave in the box! First, a cold water soak for about an hour. No real color leaching noticeable. Next, warm water soak for 2 hours. A little bit of color came out, but not a scary amount. While drying out in the bowl, though, the wig left some color stains behind - definitely from the hair fiber itself! So I'll try a longer soak and see if it comes clean. However, I did find that Dollce sells an indigo wig similar to Chihaya's, so I'm going to get one just in case for my spoiled doll ;P http://doll.shop-pro.jp/?pid=63958638 jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop

Godzilla44566 Posted September 24, 2013 So I got mine a couple days ago, I put the wig on without a cap, it left staining after about an hour. I soaked it in the sink with shampoo. It was in water for about two days straight, I changed the water about 4-5 times, adding new shampoo each time. It has not stained yet, I check daily. Also though, my wig cap just came in the mail and it was wearing the wig with no cap for about 3 days. I dunno if those stain slow but there is next to no stains at all from the wig cap, dunno if the soaking helped with that too.
guyngames Posted September 25, 2013 I posted this elsewhere but Alice Kounji's wig has the same staining issues- she was double wig capped and the wig still put bright purple stains on her brow where the strands of hair had touched her face. Really disappointing. I'm ready for some solutions so I can help her wear her wig again. Unfortunately soaking her wig yielded no results. The water was clear. I am unsure whether I should trust it or not.

Yukamina Posted September 26, 2013 Maybe everyone who can should get together a message Volks about this problem... They need to stop making wigs like this And they might keep doing it if they think there's no problem. I definitely don't want my Miku to have a wig that stains like this. Bluh, the only time I've heard of wig hair fibres shedding color is with the Leeke art wigs which had complex color gradients and mixes. Talolili Posted September 27, 2013 I actually did email Volks USA about the issue and I linked them to this thread. They thanked me for the information and said that the issues would reported to HQ. I think it would be good for someone who owns one of these wigs to email Volks and provide them with pictures too. It would be ashame if Miku suffered from a staining wig. archeotech Posted October 9, 2013 I was just wondering if people meant Volks Shampoo? From a Volks guide on shampooing the wigs they said I should just add a few drops to a bowl of water and then gently dunk it in and out. Will that be enough?
Nanoza Posted October 10, 2013 I wish I had been more careful with my Kanu, I put on a wig cap but the wig tightened itself over her head over time and left quite a mark just over the wig cap. I obviously cant do anything to save her forehead now, so sad. I don't mind the body being stained but it is really noticeable and very accidental.

I'm not sure if it would bleach her actual skin tone or not... that's such a shame the wig just does that -___- poor kanu, chihaya and everyone else ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho

Go get a container of remove-zit, it will clear it right off without having to have anything on the painted areas. I was just wondering if people meant Volks Shampoo? Godzilla44566 Posted October 12, 2013 Which zit remover should I use on Kanu? Thank you. I cant post links for a beyond stupid reason, but its called Remove-Zit google remove zit and its the first link that shows up. Buy a bottle of that, its worth it and comes with plenty enough to remove doll stains. All you do is smear it on the stained area and let it sit for 12 hours to a day. remove it then reapply if there are still stains. For really really bad stains it can take a week of applying but for me it gets most my stains off the first day. Dont use it on any painted areas of the face though. mangaemi Posted October 16, 2013 Has anyone actually tried Remove Zit on tan skin, though? It can cause yellowing with white skin. yeah I'd say do a small test in some place that no one would ever notice like the back of the head.. does acne cream do the same thing to white skin? or is that just removezit. at least chihaya is normal skin so you could maybe do very precise treatment as long as it's not directly on the faceup areas.. ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho

Can't find a european site to buy from, I saw the site, thank you. I have placed the wig cap more over the face, She looks better...The staining on the back of the head (where the cap could never reach) is heavy. Get ready for horrific stains on Miku. jadepixel Posted November 28, 2013 So it took a while, but I ended up getting one of Dollce's indigo blue wigs for Chihaya. I splurged and got the twin tails version, too. But they are both nicely made wigs, very soft fiber and light color headcaps. They do have some darker threads inside, but so far with a cloth headcap for protection they have not stained. It's a good alternative to Chihaya's scary default wig! jadepixel doll lab jadepixel eye shop

Bubbles Posted January 8, 2014 I just got Chihaya and have washed the wig with various human shampoo for a few days. Has anyone had any luck washing it such that it no longer tints the water blue at all? So far I have washed it for 3 days, changing the water and shampoo every 6 to 8 hours. After 7 water changes, there is just a very faint tinge of blue left in the water. Is it pretty much stain safe at this point? I have a photos but I'm a new member so I can't post. BeyondTime Posted January 8, 2015 I got a Chihaya recently and had her wig on for a short time and after removing it I discovered a number of stains where the hair fibers touch the head. She even had a blue stain on her chin. The hair fibers themselves don't touch her chin in any way, and the stains there are the same color as the other wig stains. The only way I can think that happened was from me handling her hair while putting the wig on and then handling her chin and transferring excess dye from my fingers to her chin. I'm always careful to wash my hands before handling them too, so i know nothing was on my hands before I worked on her wig. The stains are all pretty light, and none of them are on her faceup, so I am hopeful that the volks stain remover will remove them. As long as she is going to be headless for a few days I may as well try and get the excess color out of her wig. I was wondering if using woolite on the wig will work as well as shampoo to get the excess dye out? I can use shampoo, but I would probably have to go buy something that doesn't have any excess chemicals, whereas I already have woolite. Since laundry detergents are supposed to be color safe on clothing I'm not sure it will have the desired effect. Other than the excess dye her wig is in beautiful shape, and doesn't need to be cleaned or defrizzed. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
