An experiment idea for white vinyl

Recommended Posts

Aronzo96

Hi, I've been reading around and from what I see, white vinyl doesn't seem to have a good solution for stain removal. I'm hoping to gather together broken/torn parts and experiment on them with different methods to see if any of them work, and making sure that they don't leave different colored marks later on.

I'm wondering if anyone has any stain removal ideas, or knows of anyone with broken and torn parts (or just extras) I would be willing to pay for these parts. Please let me know!

I just really like to experiment with dolls, and this seems like something a lot of people would be interested in seeing the results of, even if none of it works (then at least we'll know it doesn't work!) I have the time to actually do this, and I'd love to help contribute in any way I can.

We could probably get more results from more people.

Somebody suggested using rust remover (CLR) or graffiti remover, but I wouldn't dare use them on a brand new doll.

I still need to send you those parts when I get a chance.

I have more than enough white skin stained parts if you both want some.

Yeah, that's why I'm looking for broken or unwanted parts to test this all on. I've seen the stuff used on Barbies and Monster High dolls (on the heads) so that's where I got the idea from.

I'll send them both to you, shinegamix.

It seem Aronzo96 doesn't want the parts I've got so I'll send them to you when I get a chance. >___<

I have a pretty severely yellowed DDH01 natural colored head from 2003 that I'd be willing to sell if you're still looking for parts :o I was using it to practice face up painting and modding so it's a bit rough looking but it'd probably still work for your uses. I'll take pretty much whatever for it. I can take a picture if you're interested.
