mayaiincho Posted September 25, 2013 Hello there. I have this Leeke which i cannot seem to identify at the moment. When I first bought the wig the side bangs had curls. After a few months the curls starting dropping and losing shape, which i learned i was taking care of the curls incorrectly. Now i'm trying recurl the wig back to it's original. I tried the hair curler method but that did nothing but straighten out her side bangs. Now i'm running out of ideas on how to recurl it. Anyone have and good method to recurling the wig back to the original? * But instead of multiple curls, the side bangs had had just one large curl, Originally. looking for - , Marisa Short Wig, full set Beatrice or default face + eyes & Sasara Fullset or default face + eyes. vhdangel Posted September 25, 2013 Hair curler method? Do you mean with a real curling iron or a set of curlers? If the hair is heat-resisting (meaning it won't melt), I have found that the best method is with straws and boiling water, often called a boil perm. You wrap the hair around a straw and secure it with a hair pin, then dip it into boiling or just below boiling water. Then you leave it to set until dry. Makes for nice, pretty curls. Some people have had luck with using wig mist (which is basically like wig hair spray) and straws, though I've found that doesn't last as long.
Anna-neko Posted September 25, 2013 so.. u just put it in curlers ..and thats it? That wouldn't really do anything, unless heat or hair spray/gel of some sorts is involved Some people like to get the wig wet with hot water, then wrap in curler and let it dry this way Others put in curlers first, then dunk wig in hot water (hot, not boiling! Never test that wig fiber melting point the hardway....)
mayaiincho Posted September 26, 2013 Sorry, I should've been more specific. But yeah i just twirled the hair around the iron. I'll try the hot water method and i'll report my results later looking for - , Marisa Short Wig, full set Beatrice or default face + eyes & Sasara Fullset or default face + eyes. Amara77 Posted September 27, 2013 The boil perm works well for most wigs, I don't know about the heat resistant kind as I've never had one, but I've had great results with curling the hair first be it curler or straws, depends on the size curl you want, but I highly reccomend dipping it in the hot water and then icy cold I have a tutorial I did on my blog http://amara77.wordpress.com/2013/06/14/hair-styling-customization/ Her hair is still tightly curled even after brushing it a few times http://amara77.wordpress.com blog and shop Spoke too soon....
