Mixing DD/DDS/MDD parts

That's a yes and no.

 

The bust mod form a regular DD2 or DD3 to the DDdy/DDdy3 is just a matter of trimming off the lower vinyl form the bust and putting it onto the new frame. The only difference in busts, besides the size, is that lower piece of vinyl that is much higher up on the DDdy than on the DD2/DD3.

 

As far as swapping parts between Volks girls, you can do quite a bit of swapping out because almost all parts remain the same across certain bodies. For instance, the DD2 and original DDdy bodies use the same internal frames so you can pop off the arms of one and put it on the other style easily. You can also use DD3 and DDS arms on the older bodies.

 

The DDdy3 and DDdy use similar vinyl covers like the shins, thighs, busts and arms but the internal frames are totally different so you can't use the entire legs from a new DDdy3 to plug right into an older DDdy body. Also, the busts have different sized arm holes between the newer and older bodies. This goes for the DD2 and DD3 as well. You *can* swap out busts but using the newer arms with smooth shoulders and the older wide hole busts can lead to odd looking gaps in the shoulder areas.

 

As for the MDD, that body can't swap out ANY parts with full sized bodies like the DD2, DD3 and DDdy bodies. They are simply too different and share nothing in common other than being able to use the same heads on them. Now between the newer and older MDD bodies, I *think* you can do the same as if you were swapping parts between a DD2 and DD3 body. Of course the inner frames are totally different between the MDD and MDD3 so feet and hand parts won't work without modifications. Now the vinyl hand covers and feet covers DO work between those so no worries there.

 

Now the DDS girls are a bit tricky because they're a different height than the DD2, DD3 and DDdy girls. Arms and heads are easily swapped but the DDS thighs are different lengths from the bigger girls so those won't work to swap to a taller girl. The shins are the same as all others tho, same with the hands and feet. I also think the DDS specific busts are a bit slimmer than regular ones are and the lower torso is also a lot thinner than a DD2 or DD3.

No problem, glad to help. As far as swapping out the thighs from a DD3 to a DDdy3 body, that won't work because the lower torso is shaped and sized differently so the slimmer thighs of the DD3 would leave huge gaps in the socket areas where they attach to the inner frame of the DDdy3 lower torso. If you want the bigger booty of the DDdy3 then you're stuck with those bigger thighs too.
