Don't let Yuriko give Tama too much cake. Or give Dolly too much cake, for that matter. The former would result in an unhappy Tama, but the latter would result in a sugar high strong enough to permanently damage the solar system I think!

Marq V- Thank you so much for starting a birthday thread for me. I really hope our DD do snarf down the cake so it isn't left for me, and they can have free access to the ice cream in the freezer too. I'm not really used to eating much sugar so in that way B-day's can be a bit overwhelming.

 

Katnaper- You really are a sweetheart, thank you. As hard as it is for me to stop working, it has been really nice taking the last couple of days off and just doing what I felt like. Tama-chan said that he didn't have anything to give me so he would just have to give me lots of hugs instead. He also said that he will help give me an extra big hug from you guys.

 

Poofiemus- You have no idea how much I started cracking up at that pic! It's one of my favorite movies and Raven and I still quote from it a lot. Yuriko give Dolly cake? Are you kidding me? If we went to a buffet she would have to be the last one in line so everyone else would have a fighting chance at the sweets. When Raven made her give Dolly a valentines card last year, I'm pretty sure it said 'stinky' in it at least once. Luckily Dolly has been thoroughly distracted today to even notice all the cake.

 

Billy- I just don't have the energy for big birthday bashes, so even though it's been mostly quiet, it's the best birthday I can remember in many years. Some people freak out about getting older, but it doesn't phase me too much. What I do find really neat is I never expected to feel the way I have on my 35th birthday. In the last couple of years I've done things I dreamed about and have reached goals that I thought were impossible to me. Sitting here thinking of what I have to look forward to just makes me feel so hopeful and excited with anticipation. I'm happy with who I am. I'm happy with what I can do. And most of all I'm really proud of myself that I finally know who I am and I have the strength to be who that wonderful person is.

 

I've been having a lot of quiet fun around here today between working on the kid's costumes, Raven and I watching Sherlock (OMG awesome!!) and Dr. Who, snacking on cupcakes and ice cream, chatting with my brother for about an hour (something he doesn't often have time to do), opening presents, talking with Mom, snacking on cake that Mom made, getting a package for Naiomi with a couple of extra surprises in it from a forum member, plenty of snuggles, and Dolly being his goofy self again. I have some belated pics I want/need to take tomorrow of Naiomi's present and Yuriko being herself that I'm looking forward to.

 

Dolly however has had an unexpected red letter day. Despite me asking him more than once when his birthday is, he still hasn't told me and acts like he doesn't have one. So this creates the problem of not knowing when to give him presents when it isn't Christmas. So Raven gave me something to give to Dolly even though it was my birthday. What ensued after that still cracks me up.

 

 

 

 

 

Raven gave him a skateboard (Tech Deck fingerboard) and he took to it instantly. In 0.5 seconds flat he decided that he's going to be a professional skater. I'm glad that he finally has a goal that isn't to just blow things up. I've really missed the goofy Dolly who may be macho but is still distinctly a klutz. He was zipping around the top of my desk when I happened to look over at Marla and Kandee (another present from Raven) and they totally went into fangirl squeals.

 

Suddenly Dolly went into his charmer mode that I haven't seen in a long time. As dumb as he may seem sometimes, he apparently understands the value of fans and how they relate to his personal greatness. He's always talked big about himself, but now maybe it won't all be just a bunch of hot air. Maybe.

 

The girls are pinypon and Raven said that they are kinda similar to cheap Nendroids. I've never actually seen a Nendroid in person, but the girls can swap legs, turn their heads, and their hair comes off and have a 2nd facial expression (Kandee shows both of hers in the pics above). All I know is that they are really cute! It totally cracks me up that they are only to the height of Dolly's knee, so now he can feel like the 'big man' that he sees himself to be. Kandee wasn't hardly out of the box before Marla snatched her purse... I'm afraid that Marla might be a purse klepto... but at least Kandee didn't seem to care. Kandy also has a white cat who she said is named Le Poof (because it looks puffy and prissy, but has nothing to do with you Poofiemus! ) I keep cracking up whenever I say it because it's just fun and it sounds silly. Raven said that I might be able to get the series 1 set of the pinypon soon too because it has a little blond boy in it that Tama would love. The set has another 8 figures in it who I'm pretty darn sure are all going to be instant Dollynator fans. I think of the pinypon and I keep hearing the little alien toys from the first Toy Story going "Ooooooh! The Claw!" Apparently Dolly's popularity is going to spread through the pinyponians like wildfire. At least he will have fans to fill the stands.

 

And if you are wondering about Dolly's shirt, he took it from a bear who wasn't very attached to it.

Yayy! Happy late Birthday, SK (now that I have access to the computer). Glad you had so much fun! The pics of Dolly are pretty awesome. He looks so cool with his skateboard, and his fanclub is super cute!
