Wow wow wow Belldandy...She is just amazing. but why a resin? She is so expensive

Belldandy is one of the best resin girls I've seen Volks produce. Such a beautiful sculpt! Thankfully I'm not allowing myself any new resin girls at the moment.

 

I'm definitely all over Erica. She has that same sweetness as Sakura...

Natsuki's Bear Outfit is so cute. I think I like this color scheme much better than Moe's Bear. I also really like the Waitress/Maid Outfits. The white boots for MDD & DD are really nice too. Hehe I could keep going on & on, but basically I see a lot of really nice things Though I will most likely wait for these items to show up at Volks USA. Keeps me from over spending... at least that's the logic behind it

Yaya looks OK, but her neck should be thinner. Beldandi is nice but meh.... no so nice....

Not familiar with Unbreakable Machine Doll or Sakura Taisen, so can't comment on how accurate they look, but while the new DD girls are cute they're not calling out to me. One thing I can compliment is how well Erika's style matches Sakura's; I actually guessed she was from the same franchise on that alone despite not knowing squat about it. Yaya's outfit is great, but her head looks a LOT like an 06 to me, so I'm not hugely excited about her.

 

I want to like Belldandy, but she's just not calling to me. Part of it may be because I've only seen a couple episodes of Ah! My Goddess, and I'm more looking to shell an original character of mine. In that case, her face shape and eyes are really close to what I want for that character, but her mouth kills it due to the slight smile and parted lips.

 

Outfits are a mixed bag. That burgundy coat is something I want in people size but not necessarily for my dolls. I LOVE the two red-and-black outfits in the Designer's Collection! That line is statistically the most likely to eat my wallet, I've noticed. I'm actually liking Erica's alt/battle set despite not being familiar with Sakura Taisen too. Not sure if I'll actually bite for it though.

Wow! The Belldandy is gorgeous!! She looks absolutely spot on! I think she works perfectly in resin. ^^

But of course we're here to talk DDs ;P. I'm surprised Yaya as a character is so popular...never even heard of the series haha! She's cute but reminds me too much of a Reimu/06 hybrid. Her eyes are beautiful though~ what a nice colour!

 

I for one really like Erica! She's reminds me of Rina for some reason - keep getting the same vibe from her. I honestly thought she would be the more popular of the two new announcements but it seems I was wrong lol.

 

And the clothes!!! Natsuki's White Kuma set is the cutest thing ever D: and the Designer Collection outfits are beautiful!

Actually, I totally expected Yaya to be the more popular one XD Just like with Rina and Yuki, the cuter one was more popular than the other and Yaya is certainly cuter than Erica. She's just totally the type of DD to become popular and more hunted afterwards.

I do still like Erica more too and maybe, just maybe, I might try for her but we'll see TTvTT

Love Belldandy, but I am not buying a resin. No way. The other two I have no interest in. With all honesty, these are all boring DDs and one amazing resin.

 

However in regards to the sakura taisen girl she has an adorable face!

When Sakura was released, I was hoping that they'd do other characters like Erica, but the sculpt doesn't really do it for me. Her face seems a bit too chubby for me. Maybe other angles/pictures will appeal to me more, but dunno.

 

Not familiar with the Yaya character and the face isn't that appealing to me, so think I'm safe from the two DDs this time.

 

Belldandy is gorgeous. Her forehead diamond is too low/small which makes her forehead look a bit large and I'd really like to see her with animetric eyes. Might be tempted by her once I see more pictures.

Erica does not look right.... which dissapoints me as I always liked the Paris storyline better than the Tokyo one.

 

Ah, at first I was like OMG I need belldandy but then the more I look at her then the more I realize she will be over 1k and her face doesn't seem right to me being on the realistic side, and not a fan of the resin style of lips where they're all super pouty XD

 

Ah! My Goddess was not really a book for girls, it was aimed a guys (Isnt it tech a harem manga?).. so I'm kinda confused why they did her in resin.

I actually think Belldandy looks kinda like a resin Kos Mos. I wonder if she could cosplay Belldandy with her outfit and wig. But then you'd have to figure out her blue markings. Also, I feel like since Belldandy has those markings on her face that she can't really be anyone else unless you wipe her faceup. Which makes it less likely that anyone would give up her outfit.

After seeing Belldandy now all I want to see is Volks make a DDDy Urd! XD

I love Belldandy, but I can't see myself getting another resin doll.

 

I want to see more pictures of Yaya. I like how she looks and I think she is really cute, but I don't think I will try for her.

 

The clothing Volks will be releasing is another story. I'm really tempted by the white bear outfit & one of the winter coats.

These are really cute, but I really want to see more unique sculpts again instead of ones that just remind me of DDH-06 sculpted by different artists! More stuff like Mariko, Akira, Millhiore, Mio, and Aoko where the placement and shape of the features differs a lot. :3

There's no doubt that Bell is going to be expensive. Volks resin doesn't come cheap. >.>

 

I really like her design because it's not as anime-ish. It's more of the classic original manga design (think 1988, not 2013) and I'm guessing Volks is doing it for the 25th anniversary of Aa! Megami-sama.

Because at the very least they would have had to make a scale Moto-compo for Natsumi?

 

 

Overall I agree about Yaya about her looking a bit too much like a restyled 06 head. despite retaining the funky looking eyelashes from the anime design. her eyes are just a little too big to agree on based on the pictures on wolfenrichs blog.

 

Yaya is also a bit difficult from a purchase point, since eventhough I like her alot for the feisty firecracker she is in the series, her charm in it is more based on her displeased, depressed, or overall pee'ved off demeanor, and here she is just smiling sweetly.

 

The outfit, eventhough it seems to be coming with the more stylish platform getas doesent really say 60-65k yen which I suppose they will want for the whole.

 

 

Erica looks like a cute head atleast, but for me there's no realy connection to the character, and looking at her accessories she might be along the same price as sakura was... Unless that rifle is an optional extra.

 

 

 

... And then there's Bell...

 

Suppose she might be a first SD for me, if I can survive the customs fee's for kosmos.. although will have to wait for official web pictures to be sure.

If anyone is entering for Erica and they don't want her weapon I would want that in a split. LOL. Yaya is really cute, and I agree she looks a lot like Yuki and very similar to an 06 head as well.

Belldandy would have been a must for me, if she was a DD. I don't like the trend of anime characters being made into the non-anime style. Personal preference, I guess. But imagine how perfect she would be as a DD, with DDDy Urd and MDD Skuld.

I don't think I'll be able to go for any of the dolls (even though I really love Yaya) but there were a couple of really cute outfits in there. I guess I'll be waiting for clear scans to check them out.
