Oh my god, that would be amazing to see. Also, I wonder how the scalpers would abuse that system. I suppose they'll check that all the dolls are made by Volks? What if the dolls are just Volks heads with other doll company bodies...?

Last I remember, Dollpa is a VOLKS products only event.

Ah, but I've seen pictures from Dolpas where DD heads are distinctly on P40 bodies. I wondered why no one seemed to care.

I love Yaya ^^ Unfortunately I'm not convinced about the quality of her costume, mainly her black kimono and obi. Everything else is wonderful though.

 

Since I opened that I haven't been able to get the ED out of my head, but I guess that's ok.

I love Erica's sharp eyes and Yaya's outfit but alas it seems like my wallet doesn't want to open.

Will people be able to buy Erica on the December 22nd event? I'm trying to figure out when exactly people will be getting their Erica dolls, as I'm going to get her head, body, and weapon in the Y!JA aftermarket. I'm trying to get an estimate on her release date so I can be sure to have the money!

Most likely yes, but in my oppinnion, the best bet would be to wait for the after event and associated lottery, since the immediate post event yahoo prices tend to be inflated.

 

Also might want to consider trying the after event lottery since it might be just more economical to get the full set, even if you are left with bits you wouldnt use.

Hand-holding hands! Cute, but I personally don't like how the hands are molded together. Two problems: 1) getting them posed without knocking both girls over is going to be a royal pain. And b) it means that both girls need to be the same skintone, unless you airbrush/tint one of the hands in the pair. What if I want a normal skin girl holding hands with a white skin girl on one side and a semi-white girl on the other, huh?

They're cute.... And I agree the posing would be problematic. I can foresee alot of doll stumbling off tables and falling. Might also promote breakage with the peg that connects the hands in the arm socket after alot of falls. Though I wouldn't mind a pair lol

It does seem like it would be hard to set up, but maybe not as hard as getting hand-holding looking right with the current hand lineup. I know Volks has done hands like this before for Super Dollfie, so I imagine not dealing with hooks and elastic makes the DD hand swap a lot simpler!

And Volks are not the only ones with such hands,.I'm sure it's not all that difficult to pose your girls with them!

Oh, I like the idea of handholding option hands! It's really adorable. It think it'd be worth the awkwardness of setting them up to get some really sweet pictures It might help to get them into the pose you want and then put the hands on. My biggest problem would be matching skin tones. I only have one NS girl, for example.

Yep~ seen hands like this before and I think they are adorable as all hell ;;u;; but as mentioned twice before me, yes skintone... u.u maybe Volks will figure a way around it? I'd still love to have that option though, It would be so cute to have girls hold hands for little photoshoots and stuff!

While those new hands are cute, I still don't understand why Volks hasn't ever made a thumbs up hand! I can't tell you how many times I see this gesture in anime and manga so why hasn't Volks made some of these yet? I'd be buying a bunch of them for sure if they did! Can you imagine Saber Extra with a thumbs up hand? How awesome would it be for stories where she gives someone the thumbs DOWN motion? I can think of so many uses for these right now with my girls... especially Saber, Rei and Sprout.

 

Come on Volks, wake the hell up and make me some friggin thumbs up hands!!
