JoyFes (Tokyo Dolls Party 30)

I was so excited to see Belldandy as a doll, but then realized she was a resin doll. :/ I would've LOVED to have her if she was a DD.

 

As for Yaya, her cuteness and outfit is so tempting. I actually have been watching the series and I do like her character. I most likely will try for her.

 

Erica, I know nothing about so I don't have any kind of connection to her character so I don't mind passing on her.

Machine Doll is too hentai for my tastes and the Yaya doll does not look like Yaya, for me at least.

 

On second thoughts Erica Fontaine is starting to look cute. I was a big Sakura Wars fan but only the OVA and TV series. I never experienced the ??"nun" Erica Fontaine but her face is cute.

 

It's funny but Volks does a much better job with their Charagumin figures, and they're very pricey with Kosmos costing 60,000 Yen which is almost a DDS.

I own DD Sakura so maybe I should..... but I have no space and I want to reduce the $$$ I give Volks..... ugu...... and why couldn't Volks do Iris Chateaubriand? MDDs take up less space... hehe.

Yawp, Erica is from the Paris Team thats in the 3rd & 4th games! She also appears in the OAV which tells a bit more of prequel stuff

 

She fills in the "clumsy girl" trope of the team lineup (the klutz gets a double-barrel shotgun?!?) The hilarity of her being a nun novice is during the "showtime!" section she wears a skintight leotard as a black-cat dancer in the cabaret (I luv this game....)

Gah! Belldandy is stealing my heart. Good thing that all of my hobby funds are already tied up in DD otherwise I'd sink in whatever it took to get her. For anyone who cares, in this pic I noticed that she doesn't come with the blue face decals predone.

LOL, my immediate response was what about the other girls? Belldandy was actually not my fav on the show, Urd was. I would also love that, we should write letters LOL.

Oh this is rich. VN56 held the answer to how the lottery for the DDs and SDs will be handled at JoyFes. Recall that because entry is free this time, there won't be guidebooks to buy / corners to snip off as usually happens for Dolpa.

 

At JoyFes, Volks is going to try to set a Guinness World Record for "Longest Line of Dolls in a Row".

 

In order to draw the usual lottery ticket for SD/DD Limited Items, you must bring a doll and register it to join the world record attempt. My, my! I haven't seen anywhere (yet?) that says you may only register one doll / draw one number. My guess is that since we're going for a record the philosophy is going to be the more the merrier.

Ah, but I've seen pictures from Dolpas where DD heads are distinctly on P40 bodies. I wondered why no one seemed to care.
