If there were male DDs, what might Volks create?

There are alot of threads about male DDs, so I wanna hear what people think what Volks would create with male DDs.

 

There is one for the existing DD lines, but I wanted to make a prediction thread, so there.

 

For me, since Otome games are getting quite mainstream these days, Volks might create the hotties from Uta no Prince Sama or Hakuouki. And for BL stuff which is popular, Dramatical Murder and Togainu no Chi.

 

For non otome, I have a feeling they might release Gilgamesh (Fate. I heard he is dead popular to girls.), Kirito (SAO, add on for Asuna), Kaworu Nagisa (Evangelion), any of the cute guys from Magi (eg Alibaba, Sindbad, Jafar, Aladdin, Judas.), Link from Zelda and guys from Free!.

Now that they have the SS bust size, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to just make a boy DD. An if they continue with the Vocaloids, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Len. Maybe even someone from Ouran High School Host Club?

I'd like to see them do Narukami Yu from Persona 4.

Yeah, I can see them doing some of the Type Moon guys, since they're popular and Volks has had a lot of success with Type Moon licenses before. Gilgamesh I could imagine, though with his armor he'd be hell on the wallet. I could also envision Lancer, and maybe Archer. Shirou might be a stretch, which is kind of ironic given Archer's coolness level. Whether I would go for any of those would be highly dependent on the head mold, though on character alone I think Lancer would be the likeliest gab for me.

 

Evangelion is another license Volks already has done, so Shinji and Kaworu would be possible. I expect Kaworu would be far and away more popular than Shinji though, unless Shinji's head turned out particularly good.

 

From Vocaloid, Kaito and Len would be awesome, and relatively likely since they're both Crypton Future Media voice banks--that's the same company that owns the rights to Miku, so the legal way is already paved there too. Gakupo could turn out cool too, but he'd require a completely fresh license agreement since he's owned by some other company entirely.

 

Some of the other guys I personally would like to see are from properties that Volks hasn't done any DDs with, and in one case probably wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole. ^^;; I'd love to see a DD Ed Elric for instance, and can see appeal in Roy Mustang and Ling.

 

But my yearning for a cute little first-movie Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon or an anime-fied Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who are pretty much guaranteed to go unfullfilled. . . hence their presence on my custom-bait list.

 

Edit: Also on my custom bait list is the Gilgamesh I really want: Gilgamesh Wulfenbach from Girl Genius, who has one hell of a crush on Agatha.

True, but problem is SS is a little too...skinny and the waist is too skiny to make a guy unless it is a shota esque or the Clamp style guys. I would like them make more buff bodies to fit guys like Gilgamesh from Fate/stay night. =v=

Haha, that aside, I'd love to see Shu Ouma (Guilty Crown), Armin, Eren and Levi from Shingeki no Kyojin and I would love to see a grumpy little Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto

 

Oh and Tamaki Suoh from Ouran.

 

Some Final Fantasy guys too like Squall, Cloud and Hope Estheim.

 

You know what, it's a good job that Volks don't do DD males, I get the feeling I'd be selling organs to get them

I still say Sebastien from Black Butler would be an instant sell out.. Although Glenda would sell me to purchase him for her own slav... Servant... yeah.. ^_-

Considering the newest iteration of the series came out this year it would have been great to see Susumu Kodai from space battleship Yamato [otherwise known in the west as Derek Wildstar from Star blazers respectively] as a male BJD.

Ooo, I just got some new ideas for official Volks collabs. I am gonna say the least likely ones:

 

Kotetsu T Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks Jr for male Dollfie Dreams~They would make dynamic dolls! I would actually like to see more sexy male dolls with beards, not to mention Kotetsu's signature cat shaped beard!

 

Takashi Natsume from Natsume Yuujinchou. Would definitely look cute, double bonus if Nyanko Sensei was included together! Would also be fun to do the pose when he returns the Youkai's names.

 

Marth from Fire Emblem (Not the one from FE Awakening! ). It would be fun to do poses of him with his sword.

Probably Gilgamesh or Archer from fate/stay night

Personally I would like to have a Kurama DD from yu yu hakusho haha, but thats so old now.

I can totally see them to doing Gil and Archer. Their Fate characters are just so well received for the not to do it. The same for Kirito, to go with Asuna of course. I think the Ouran boys could be a possibility due to their appearance. They aren't too buff or mature looking and an MDD Honey-senpai would be Kawaii! Oddly enough I think that Soujuurou Shizuki from Mahou Tsukai no Yoru has a fair chance, since he'd complete the set for that series. He also has a good range of outfits. After that, Kaito and maybe Len (possibly released in conjunction with Rin).

oh my gosh! The ouran boys would be great. Or how about the Sohma Boys. I would totally love my own personal Yuki and Kyo-kun.

solid snake as a DD sounds interesting, but im thinking that a male DD would wind up being to bishounen for someone as rugged as snake or big boss

Already drooling at most of the suggestions here as they are also characters I would love as DD. Gilgamesh and Archer are my top faves, followed by the Ouran Boys - I think me and SK would go crazy over those guys, me for Tamaki and her for Kyoya. As fo an Ed Elric like Poofiemius said, oh yeah! And I would not mind Kirito or the Sohma boys. Natsume is a win but only if he has Nyanko Sensei of course. Barnaby would also be pretty good. I would love to see the brothers from Blue Exorcist and Yu Narukami from P4 too. Hmmm... I pretty included all the male figures I have on this list

Volks has got so many released DDs in their "Afterschool Akihabara Girls" lineup covering DD,DDS, & DDdy, I think a male DD will be their own character to compliment these. The male DD then would be fairly easy to fit in using some existing head sculpts. Another advantage would be a lower initial investment. They wouldn't have to pay a license to reproduce a character from another source. If it's successful, a generic male could quickly (Hah, what was I thinking? We're talking Volks.) be added to the lineup. If it's a flop, the losses would be low in comparison. From then on, it wouldn't cost as much to venture into game & anime specific characters. I agree with some others; Archer would be a good one to start with from the "Fate/Stay Night,etc" series. A male character from the prolific "Shining Wind, etc" series might be another good entry. Hopefully, the rumors of a male DD will turn out to be more than wishful thinking.

Grimmjow, Ichigo, Renji, Hitsugaya, plus all of the other guys from Bleach. That would destroy my wallet.

 

And of course the boys from Ouran and Fruits Basket.

I think Dramatical Murder DDs might be an option. I would love to own a Aoba, Clear, Noize or Konjaku
