Anybody have won Melty? I'm curious ^^

think this lottery was a big fake from VOLKS.

I guess they just found some forgotten dolls in the closet and decided to make a lottery for them. Or those items were from their shops that couldn't sell them.

I was once again disappointed in this hobby, and especially how Volks do business. more nonsense I have never seen. if I can not buy what I like / need, it's not worth it to be a favorite hobby

It's hard to say why they did this. For example Melty was very popular and was really rare to find her, I'm sure if anyone found her in a shop, they'd snatch her up immediately.

 

I've pretty much given up on lottery DDs ^ ^;;;; The stress and disappointment are not worth it. I still want some basic heads and will keep an eye out for Pre-orders though ;3

I guess so... I see her often and never "expensive".

 

Her head mold is rather special and not everyones taste (maybe to say it better not the general taste), so their might not be that many people liking her

True. I don't think she looks like the real Haruka at all and I'm not really impressed, not nearly as much as the last two im@s girls.

My third time entering the Volks lottery process, entering for Sakura and Alice. I got lucky this round

and Alice was drawn in my favour receiving notification at Thu, 31 Oct 2013 22:05 - FYG and future record.

 

I can't wait fast enough to see her home safely.

 

I'm glad that Volks Co. is took this action by having this lottery and hope see more like it in the future,

this way it gives other fans the opportunity a chance of purchasing directly with volks rather being taken for a ride with auction scalpers.

This is also very stressful to me actually, hunting for a "cheap-ish" one secondhand, mostly because I also collect BJDs, so while I have the funds in my pocket and waiting for one to pop up, many a companies come out with gorgeous limited editions and then you have to make the decision: 1) buy the gorgeous limited edition because u can and might never be able to find it, but if the "cheap-ish" DD you were hunting pops up, you're screwed 2) not buy it because and maybe lose out on both, as the DD you want may never appear "cheap-ish"ly.

Luck is preparation and opportunity. Preparation in this case means having the money in the first place.

 

Bargains do happen, even for rare girls, but you have to watch AND be in a position to take advantage of it.

 

Wait for the girl you absolutely must have, whether a new release or secondhand. If you only "sort of" want a girl, just let her go. There will be others, I promise.

That's the point XD;;; I am not rich or anything, I get like 500 euro and I use that for food, anything I need for classes etc (no rent tho). So I do obviously have some saved aside but I do not want to spend every euro I have in my bank account, I always keep some for "whatever case" ^ ^;;; The only DD I really want to be honest is Melty. She was the "grail/unicorn" to me, but she's so rare and way too expensive, every time I meet her and almost got scammed while trying to get her. It was way too stressful to hunt after her for a whole year, and in that year of course, companies were releasing stuff I liked and wanted and if I didn't buy them, then I'd be missing out big time now, since I still don't have Melty LOL!!! I'm afraid I don't have the patience or willpower to deny myself all the cute BJDs and wait for one reasonably priced Melty!!! XDDD I HAVE A WEAK SOUL!

I guess that's a little bit of hope. Volks hasn't outright cancelled my entries like they usually do, leaving them at "lottery" status.

I just got a notification too! I got Alice, but I didn't get Miki. :,3 So that's 2/3! Not bad.
