baldylox Posted November 3, 2013 Last weekend I went back up to Charlotte for a meet at the gardens I went to before. This time it was friggin cold and breezy but I still managed to get some good photos. It was a Halloween themed meet so all my girls wore their kigurumis to show off. Here they are along with Lovelilys little resin girl. DSC_0477 by balldylox, on Flickr A few more girls showed up after that. DSC_0478 by balldylox, on Flickr Ed's Yoko was looking really cute. DSC_0489 by balldylox, on Flickr There were some other resins there too. DSC_0487 by balldylox, on Flickr "Quit taking my picture in this ridiculous outfit!" DSC_0492 by balldylox, on Flickr I brought along 4 girls and my little Queen of the Jungle went out for pics first. She really had a good time in the gardens. DSC_0493 by balldylox, on Flickr She liked lurking in the trees.... DSC_0497 by balldylox, on Flickr And then she found her version of Pride Rock. DSC_0503 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0513 by balldylox, on Flickr Yoko, if you were thirsty you could have just told me and I'd grab you a soda. DSC_0516 by balldylox, on Flickr "Look at the waterfall Papa!" DSC_0520 by balldylox, on Flickr I didn't think lions were such good climbers... DSC_0521 by balldylox, on Flickr But due to her climbing, I was able to get THIS photo: DSC_0528 by balldylox, on Flickr I'm so very happy with that shot! It's probably one of the best one's I've ever taken. I'd kill to get more like this one. Anywho, after Yoko gave me that picture, she got tired and wanted a cat nap. So Sprout and I went out for a bit. It seems she likes flowers more than I thought she did. DSC_0536 by balldylox, on Flickr Resting her feet. DSC_0537 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0539 by balldylox, on Flickr "What the heck is this? A failed pool? Where's the water?" DSC_0540 by balldylox, on Flickr Uh oh, I think she's over 9000!!!! "What are you babbling about now?" DSC_0544 by balldylox, on Flickr Resting against a tree. DSC_0547 by balldylox, on Flickr Looks like I'm getting yelled at again... DSC_0552 by balldylox, on Flickr "I'm thirsty and tired. Take me back to the others right now!" DSC_0553 by balldylox, on Flickr Just a few more pics? Please? "Whatever, just make it quick." DSC_0554 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0557 by balldylox, on Flickr Once we got back to base, Kiyomi was out of her kigu and ready to go explore a bit. DSC_0559 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0563 by balldylox, on Flickr She quickly found the entrance to the Japanese garden section... DSC_0565 by balldylox, on Flickr And proceeded to lay down... DSC_0568 by balldylox, on Flickr Then she ran off! Now where could she have gone? DSC_0577 by balldylox, on Flickr There you are! "Hee hee! You found me!" DSC_0578 by balldylox, on Flickr She found a bunch of wild flowers along a dry creek bed. DSC_0588 by balldylox, on Flickr When I posed her for this shot, there was no bee there. As soon as I back away to get the picture, that bee flew in and landed right in front of Kiyomi. DSC_0590 by balldylox, on Flickr "Did you see that HUGE bee Papa?? That was crazy!" DSC_0591 by balldylox, on Flickr She sees something on top of the those rocks... DSC_0592 by balldylox, on Flickr Ahh, a tree to climb and relax in! DSC_0594 by balldylox, on Flickr "Peek-a-boo!" DSC_0596 by balldylox, on Flickr This is another super nice photo I managed to get. She turned out looking so great here! DSC_0598 by balldylox, on Flickr Meanwhile, back at base, Umi has found herself a new panda friend! DSC_0601 by balldylox, on Flickr Umi - "Grrr! I'm a wild panda bear!" Mariko - "Ohhh! Panda's don't growl!" DSC_0602 by balldylox, on Flickr "Panda's are cute and quiet and nice!" DSC_0603 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "And they should give snuggles like this!" U - "Bears don't snuggle!" DSC_0605 by balldylox, on Flickr M - "Sure they do!" U - "......" DSC_0606 by balldylox, on Flickr Heh, two adorable pandas... DSC_0608 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0610 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0611 by balldylox, on Flickr Umi wanted to go play some so we headed back out so she could enjoy the gardens. DSC_0615 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0617 by balldylox, on Flickr She found some flowers... DSC_0622 by balldylox, on Flickr And a nice rock to sit on and rest. DSC_0624 by balldylox, on Flickr DSC_0625 by balldylox, on Flickr I really like this shot of Umi. She looks a little like Manami here, maybe as a child. And she looks quite reflective. So cute! DSC_0626 by balldylox, on Flickr And now we bring you what every DD owner wants to see! We found the place where DD's come from! No not Japan... it's... The DD Tree of Life!!! DSC_0627 by balldylox, on Flickr Ed and I were wondering how many of the girls we could fit up there so we decided to try and get ALL of them up! And we did! DSC_0628 by balldylox, on Flickr And one last shot of my Yoko, glowing like the sun. DSC_0637 by balldylox, on Flickr We had a great time out there! If anyone wants to see moar pics of this meet, please check here for many, many more pics of my girls! http://www.flickr.com/photos/balldylox/sets/72157637239141646/with/10635232625/ Thanks for looking! baldylox Posted November 5, 2013 I'm so jealous of all the great scenery, it makes me feel like I live in a wasteland XD My backyard is about as exciting as it gets. They all look really cool Don't be jealous, that isn't MY backyard! LOL All you have to do is find a park or garden that's open to the public and then get out there and take pics! And I've done lots of nice pics in my backyard even tho it's nothing special at all. You just have to plan your shots and work with what you have. And thanks about the pics! Looks like a great time, some really nice outdoor shots too! Thank you! We did indeed have a good time out there! And you're right, even a slight change in perspective can make a huge deal. I've done similar with my girls before too and it's always been fun.
