DDH-07 modded mouth?

Hello!

I've just bought a DDH-07 in semiwhite!

 

I was just wondering if it would be possible to mod it's mouth similar to Alice Kuonji's mouth?

(I'm in love with pouty girls at the minute)

i think you just sand it like people do in 01 head and use some equipment to open her mouth

 

I never try to do it but I think is the same

I wish it was easy! I'm still struggling with this skill. :< Essentially, to make a little pout you'll need to sand down the corners of the mouth to get rid of the slight smile and also make the mouth smaller in general. Be sure to follow the curve of the cheeks when you sand sand sand so that it doesn't result in two flat planes by the side of the mouth. Then you need to carve with a tool you prefer (exacto knife, dremel, files???) to get the rough shape of what you want. After that, you gotta sand that sucker smooooooth!

 

It's doable, but it's really hard for me to do-- I'm not sure how easy it would be for you. My hands are so worn out every time I do mods like that-- I end up having to break up the project into small sessions throughout weeks or else I'll cramp up. :,3 Good luck!

atm, i just bought second hand parabox head and want to sand her eyes too but waiting some equipment to screw it. then sand it (not sure it's will work or not)

 

now just try on draft with pencil (it's still really hard)

I think you could pull off a similar look by simply painting the mouth to look like it's open rather than sanding/re-sculpting it. Just put a small amount of white paint in the center where the teeth would be showing, and then shade around the corners of the open bits of the mouth/teeth. I've seen this technique used on other dolls and it looked just fine, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on DD!

Actually, I might try it on my 07 girl!

I just finished an 07 mouth mod... It's a bit more plump than Alice (and well... smiley), but I think that's mostly from the painting.... but definitely doable!!
