The 7th Guest, and its New Sequel (t7g3)

One PC game I fondly remember from my younger days is The 7th Guest. It was a gothic-themed mystery game chock full of brain-teaser puzzles to solve, and was way ahead of anything else released at the same time as it - except perhaps for another adventure game called MYST. T7G made a big impression on me that probably contributed to my liking gothic-lolita dollfie goods today. It definitely contributed to me getting a Roland SoundCanvas for MIDI playback!

Lately I've found out that not one, but two follow-up games are in the works. There's The 13th Doll, a fan-made tribute game, and The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, which members of the original Trilobyte team are trying to get funded through Kickstarter. They even brought back the original Old Man Stauf to reprise his role.

 

We don't know too much about The 13th Doll project, since only some of it (a few screenshots) has been shared publicly on the project's website. But nevertheless, I'm looking forward to both of these games! I hope they come out.

 

Anybody else remember T7G? I thought it was neat to see it being resurrected and wanted to share.
