Caster Extra (CCC version)

So as some of you may know already, I plan on doing my first custom DD girl. One of my favorite characters of all time is the magical fox girl Tamamo-no-mae (Caster) from the psp game Fate/Extra (and CCC). I actually prefer her new design over the original but they're both still very cute.

 

I decided I should start the planning stages and ask you guys what you think or any suggestions/advice what might work better. Right now, I can find all parts but one on the volks international site slightly cheaper than the US site (shipping costs aside). I would love for feedback on something cheaper different if it'll work better.

 

So far my plans as follows:

not sure if I should do SWS or NS color

DD-III shapely L bust (possibly DDdy shapely but it seems a bit too big for her character)

DDH-07 untouched head (will commission at some point)

Wig- not sure on this. could use suggestions

eyes-again could use advice

Outfit-will commission her default black outfit

ears and tail will have to commission as well

(I'm a guy, I've never sewn in my life )

Nevermind, I now see that the blog link and the user on Flickr are the same. xD On my favorites, I only saw the picture, not their Flickr url... Not until I copied and pasted it. ^__^ Slow moment! I just am very tired. >___< Anyways, she seems like a very cute character! ;D I think an 07 or an 06 head would be good for her... Also a lot of the other SQlabs heads are nice too. However I've read that they are kind of slow lately.

I think a wig like one of these might be nice? I did a quick search, but I couldn't find anything that matched her color of pink... I think that you might have to get another wig and then style it how you want to. Regardless, this is what I found.

I'm really liking the second one and the last one. I might end up buying multiples just to see how they look and sell the ones I don't want. I hadn't seen that picture of her til now and she is very cute. That's one of the outfits I want for her as well

I'm glad that you like some of the ones I posted. ^__^ I found it really hard to find a pink that was as vibrant as the figure you linked to, as well as the other pictures of her. >__< If I ever come across one, I'll post here.

 

Oh, haha that makes me feel less derpy for posting it. xD Right after I had submitted my post, I realized that they were by the same person. That outfit is really cute! I like it a lot. The character in general is adorable, so I am looking forward to see how you create her.

I wanted to say thank you for the comments so far. Makes me feel good about doing this. preparation is still ongoing right now. Haven't been able to find the right eyes for her yet. Very annoying. It'll most likely be after the holidays before I really start work and getting everything together so hope you guys have patience.

I'm behind you all the way for this project! I would love to see Caster as a DD~

 

Maybe you could get her weapon, the mirror called "Suiten Nikkou Amaterasu Yanoshisu Ishi" from the Fate/Extra PVC figure set produced by Good Smile Company, I believe. It's 1/8 scale, but the mirror looks suitable for a Dollfie.

But thank you all for the ongoing support. Still haven't found the right eyes for her yet. A lot of good ones out there but none that fit the image I want.

I've started inquiring various people about having custom eyes done. Can't find the right color/style anywhere. If anyone knows anyone that takes custom orders lemme know.

Ironic thing is, I'm actually working with her right now on a set She seems to have great pricing, really friendly to work with, and does amazing work.

So I've been having some eyes drawn up for me and I reallllly like this style. What do you guys think?

I actually had her tweak the color slightly and she came up with this:

 

 

I thought this color would fit her image VERY well seeing how close it is to images I've seen. But I do agree, the style is practically spot on with her game design!
