fsshaer Posted November 21, 2013 Very simple and quick drawing I just lazed up. I've been wanting a boy doll since middle school (college, now). Up until last year I wanted a 1/3 resin boy, nooow I want to make a male DD type of deal. I'm thinking a custom 05 or 07 head. 05 seems to be cheaper, so I'll probably go that way. I also want either a 65cm or 55cm Obitsu body for him. Cam anyone tell me how well the normal skin tones match up, and if the head or body need any modifying for them to fit correctly? I've got wigs, eyes, clothes, etc. all bookmarked and it's only a matter of time and money. uwu Anyone wanna give me some suggestions or tips for the boy I want to make? I haven't made a hybrid with Volks or Obitsu yet-- but I do have Obitsu white skin and it looks pretty good next to Volks normal. I think Volks semi-white is too light compared to Obitsu white skin, though. For his look, I would say go for Obitsu 55cm for proportions that are more similar to your drawing. katnaper Posted November 27, 2013 Yeah, I'd go for the 55cm as the 65 would be a tad too lanky for his character (aside from the fact that the 65cm is quite 'fragile' and a pain in the behind to get intact from Japan - long story). The 55cm is pretty sturdy though he might end up shorter than your regular DD or even the DDS but if you don't mind that so much, then I'd say go for it. If you decide to go with the 65cm, there are some neck adjustments that need to be made. There's a tutorial on the forum for that by Nehelenia for her custom Emiya and these are height comparisons I did a while back showing how the 65cm and 55cm stand against their DD counterparts.
