katnaper Posted November 22, 2013 I've been inspired by the work salica and DarkAvenger696 on their photobooks and decided to make one from the photos I have of my DD and resin family. It's the first time I've ever done anything like it and I used an online program called Mixbook. They had a bit of a promo so I saved a bit on shipping. I used the dolliehs as a sort of test run for future photo projects as I'm planning to print out a yearly compilation of photographs of my family, a sort of visual dobleepentation of our favorite photographs of the year. It will be a kind of adjunct to a scrapbook (for which I am known to be quite good at NOT DOING ). Hopefully this kickstarts things for me DD wise too as I used my older photographs. Anyway, here it is, I posted the complete book so please just disregard the first few pages which contain some of my resin family (hope the MODs are okay with my posting this here, I can always remove those photos if need be ). The order is pretty much the way its posted with the first photo being the cover page, page 2 and 3 is blank and a sort of intro, with the last page showing Lucy's photo and a quote. The book will be 8.5 by 8.5 inches in a softcover. I don't have the actual printout yet but it should be here in 2 weeks and I'll update with a photo of the actual book. I have to say though, that I quite enjoyed the process of putting it together. We have our own BLOG. Please visit us at the House of Nyan by clicking this link or our sig above. See you there. katnaper Posted November 22, 2013 Wow! Your book is great! Your girls look so cute!! And what a terrific idea to make one every year! Good job! It looks nice. I love all the individual pictures with their names Thank you both. I would never have thought of it except for Salica and DarkAvenger. I was only thinking of doing a yearly photobook of my actual daughter but I've so many pictures its hard playing catch-up. When I saw what those two did, I thought maybe I could start with something smaller like a DD one and take it from there. Glad I did because it helped me enormously and now I'm just doing a big book spanning the past 4 to 5 years of my own family's life. I won't do 2013 until next year. That way I don't have to stress about it. I've got quite a few of my family's photos sorted out; I just have to make sure to take my DD family's pictures so I have something to compile next year. ArcticKitsune Posted November 23, 2013 Glad Salica and DarkAvenger inspired you. I kept seeing all the Dollfie books by various DD members along with Photokano to both push and inspire me to make a photobook a test book of Busou Shinkis that you saw on fig.fm. Wanting to do Figmas, Varakitsu herself, and some nendos also. Can't wait to get to it seriously after the Europe test photobook come around Sinterklaas day (dec 5th) so I can hop onto Busou Shinkis and Vara herself. The best idea whenever you have any ideas is to make a photobook. Yours is looking awesome as well. I'm glad you and Salica are going all out with the books. It remotivated me into making my own as well, or starting to . The proud master of a foxy (DD) Varakitsu, Renge, & Caster; Kon!~ Kon!
salica Posted November 23, 2013 Wow , your book looks fantastic ! I'm glad I inspired you . I think it is such a waste for our pictures not to be seen that much because we show them in small circles . We have to spread the idea !!

katnaper Posted November 23, 2013 We have to spread the idea !! Thanks. I agree! I'd love to see more books by different people. There are so many gorgeous pictures by DD owners, it'd be so nice to see them in a book format. Let's all have our own DD book revolution! We have our own BLOG. katnaper Posted November 27, 2013 Yay! I finally received my book and though it's smaller than I thought it would be, I am still pretty happy with how it turned out. The quality of the paper is pretty great and the prints came out wonderfully. I can't wait to order our Family's photobook and see how that turns out. All in all, I'm so happy. Dunno if I'll do a vid or photo review but I'll post a link here if I do a vid review and post pictures if just to show photos of what the book looks like in person. We have our own BLOG.
