SisterKyoya Posted November 23, 2013 *click* *click* *click* *click* Tamayuki: "Here are some flowers for you to hold Miss Lottie." Lottie: *shyly reaches for the bouquet* "Oh, thank you master Tamayuki." *click* *click* Tamayuki: "Here, you can put one up in your hair." Lottie: "Oh... alright. Will it look pretty there?" Tamayuki: "Yah." *click* Tamayuki: "We can put another one up there too. Mommy won't mind because we can just put it back together." *yanks off another bunch from the fake flower spray* *click* Tamayuki: "I will let you put that one up there next to the other one." Lottie: *shyly* "Thank you master Tamayuki." *click* Lottie: "Is this about right?" Tamayuki: "Yah. You look really pretty with flowers in your hair." *click* *flowers tumble down* Lottie: "Oh dear!" Tamayuki: *giggles* "That's ok." *click* Tamayuki: *hugs* "Miss Lottie, I'm glad that you wanted to come live with us. Don't be worried if people think you look sad all the time. Lots of people said that I used to look sad a lot too. I think you'll like it here." Lottie: "Will I?" *click* Tamayuki: "I used to be scared of lots of things but it has been lots of fun with Mommy and Daddy and my sisters. Oh yah, and there's Ralph too, he's my brother. And there is Dakota. She's a friend of Yuriko's who lives here." Tamayuki: *sits down and plays with a flower* "You can be my new teacher since Yuriko said she doesn't want to do it anymore." Lottie: "Could I do that?" Tamayuki: "Yah. You can just use the books that Yuriko used. I like having school at home because I don't get so scared. I think Dolly would like you better as a teacher too. Sometimes Yuriko would yell a lot." Lottie: "Is Dolly another one of your sisters?" *click* *click* Tamayuki: "Um.. Dolly's a boy and he's my best friend." Lottie: "Oh dear..." Tamayuki: "He has a hard time reading and his handwriting is messy. I think he would like you as a teacher better. He and Yuriko don't get along very well. He likes lots of hugs but doesn't want to tell anyone. He is so little that he can sit on my lap when we play video games! There is one we have been playing where you get to match colors and if you win you get to clobber a monster. Dolly likes that one a lot because there is a lot of explosions and we get to wander all over a map fighting lots of monsters. My character's a mage and he's really fun. We even captured two whole cities! Those are really hard to fight because they have a lot more health than my little boy mage. If you win those fights then the city pays you money sometimes. I like a ring my mage has that does a single point of damage when I match the yellows together. It has helped me and Dolly win a lot. Dolly would say it was because of the fireball spell that blows up a big square all at once and makes lots of noise. And then there is this other game where you get to help build a kingdom, but sometimes you have to kick and smack the people. They don't ever get mad but..." Mommy: *quietly turns off the camera once she realizes that Tama has started on one of his chatting sprints* ~~~~~ I really don't know where this story fits in the family timeline/space continuum but it was too cute not to share. Tama seems to be utterly ignoring the fact that Lottie is wearing Bree's wig. In case anyone is wondering why Lottie is kneeling the whole time its because it was just easier that way with using the camera, plus the dress was too short (AG dress again) and having her kneeling really helped me to see what I want to make for Lottie when I start working on her clothes. I can say that I've had my concerns about how Tama would adapt to having another DD vying for my attention, but he has surely surprised me this time! He has been nothing but curious about Lottie since she came. There is a lot of times when he is just uber shy, but when he wants to that boy can chat your ear off. I think the only other of my DD so far that he has reacted like this to when she arrived was Naiomi. Even with Ringo (who is often quiet) he was a bit more hesitant about and they get along great. It was entirely Tama's choice that Lottie would be his teacher, it wasn't in my plans but it works. The more I look at Lottie's face and the SWS the more I fall in love with it. The skin is still pretty hard for me to photograph without washing out the subtle pinkness, but holy cow, it nearly glows in a way that even the WS doesn't. Plus I just love the pastel pallet of the pics. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
Ravendruid Posted November 23, 2013 So cute! She really does look pretty in pastels. Not sure if that's mostly due to the skintone, or if her sculpt has a lot to do with it. I think the smaller head is rather interesting. There's a lot of possibility hidden there, both for boys as well as more mature girls. I think it's kind of funny how the smaller the head, the older they look. Daddy of: Yuriko, Sohi, Miku and SK's many kids
Sturmhornisse Posted November 23, 2013 Haha, really cute I like Tamayuki most of all your dolls But why do you think Miss Lottie looks sad? Ok maybe from some ankles but I think she is a rather thoughtful or dreaming. Always something important to think about. I like her peaceful and soft expression especially her mouth

SisterKyoya Posted November 25, 2013 I think the smaller head is rather interesting. There's a lot of possibility hidden there, both for boys as well as more mature girls. I'm curious to see what her head would look like on an MDD body once her faceup is wiped. At the moment the lashes just make her look too old to pull off an MDD. You keep mentioning that she would be a great boy, but I'm still having trouble seeing it. With the narrow jaw and the fuller lips it would have to be a bishy boy, but at least the nose is big enough. Haha, really cute I like Tamayuki most of all your dolls But why do you think Miss Lottie looks sad? Ok maybe from some ankles but I think she is a rather thoughtful or dreaming. Always something important to think about. I like her peaceful and soft expression especially her mouth Tama was my first DD and is still my favorite by a long shot. He wants to spend all his time helping me with whatever I'm doing. I think of Miss Lottie as more of a far-off dreamer, often befuddled/confused by most things. The reasons behind that will be explained when I get her intro story done, probably in January after I can get her own wig and new eyes. If her eyebrows were just a little higher she wouldn't look so sad, but I love her mouth! I don't know why Volks only painted half of her bottom lip when she has really full lips. Nice story - their interaction seems really sweet ^,^ I find some times when i try to take photos of mariko in certain light with a flash she comes out really yellow/green >_< Thank you! I haven't done photo stories in a long time and its something I miss. So much has gone on in my DD family in about the last year and I haven't had a chance to get them all written down, or finish the ones I started. I have so many mentally backlogged that I don't know where to start. I think Tama-chan is aiming for the prize of the sweetest little boy ever, and he may be winning. I always have to do at least minor color adjustments to my photos because even if I use really white lights, we have cream and yellow painted walls. Even in some of the pics Tama's hair still has a tiny yellow tinge to it when his hair is actually a very clear gray/silver. I've taken photos of him in sunlight and his hair looks blond! Daydreamin by Sister Kyoya, on Flickr I think of this one a lot when I think about him being the most blond. Please excuse the lack of a faceup, this was taken over a year ago and Tama was a blank sculpt for his first 6 months. Tama's Surprise- 4 by Sister Kyoya, on Flickr This is the best picture so far that shows his hair actually is gray. The shade can change so much simply because of the color of the ambient lighting. I've thought about when I get him a new wig if I might get him a very light blond one. He likes short blond boys because they are just like him, his favorites are Len Kagamine and Hunni (from Ouran High School Host Club). He doesn't ever seem to notice that his hair is silver. Aww! Miss Lottie is so elegant and her relationship with Tamayuki is adorable! Thank you! Tama-chan is my little helper and always wants to be a part of what I'm doing. He's even sitting in my lap as I type. I was just simply trying to get some photos of Miss Lottie and Tama was off to the side telling me all the ways he could be helpful. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
