mitsuki Posted December 25, 2010 Haruka has a steak dinner that my dad grilled. "It's delicious!" This is the tree in our house. Next we traveled to Galveston to visit my brother at UTMB. It's a long drive, so we stopped off at Buc-ee's. It is huge. There are tons of snacks and drinks there. My brother has a lot of CDs. This electronic store has a space exploration theme. It's lots of fun. We had lunch at the French Cafe La Madeleine. We all shared a fruit tart and a Peppermint Mocha Chocolate Parfait. I had lots of fun with my family and look forward to spending more time with them.
baldylox Posted December 26, 2010 So cool! You have some really great pics this time around! Harukas pink dress is very nice... frilly and cute! How is it that everyplace you go, from diners to your parents to that French place, all have DD sized plates, cups and utensils?? I must be going to the wrong places.... Great stuff Mitsuki, keep the pictures coming! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
MsGeek Posted December 26, 2010 How did you manage to take pictures at Fry's? The ones here in town (Burbank: '50s Alien Invasion Movie and Woodland Hills: Alice In Wonderland) are notorious for laying the smack down if you come in and take pictures. I used to work at the Woodland Hills Fry's and I saw a couple of people busted for taking surreptitious pictures.
Galvatim Posted December 26, 2010 Looks like you and Haruka are having lots of fun! Haruka's steak dinner is cute! Fry's looks like an interesting place.
mitsuki Posted December 26, 2010 Thank you, Baldylox, MsGeek, and Galvatim. We are definately having fun down here. I drag all kinds of 1:3 scale things around with me. Now my mom has developed a habit of keeping an eye out for 1:3 scale things. I didn't realize they would chase you down if you take photos are Fry's. I have been taking photos at this Fry's for years. They don't bother us at all. The only thing I got was a few little girls looking at me shocked. I think they want a DD too. The other Fry's sound like lots of fun. This one's theme is kind of more "educational," so maybe they don't bother us for that reason. Houston is quite space program-oriented. We have a few burger places with space photos up too.
MsGeek Posted December 26, 2010 I think they're concerned about people from other stores...industrial espionage. They never explained it to me, though. I did one grab shot there at my old workplace...this was when I went there to pick up my super awesome Nikon p100 Super Zoom "bridge" camera: Showroom Pic by msgeek93, on Flickr It helps when you have a little chibi mobile phone that has a decent camera built in. Samsung's recent phones have surprisingly good cameras.
