Minty Posted December 2, 2013 Hello, I'm Minty and I'm new to the forum and to the world of Dollfie Dreams. ^^ I've had resin BJDs for a few years now, mainly from Luts, and I'm doing my best to learn about DDs before my first arrives late next year. I have been eyeing DDs for a couple of years now, but hadn't seen anyone I really wanted to bring home until Miku Hatsune appeared on the scene. orz At least the nearly one-year wait means I have plenty of time to learn more about DDs. :'D

chiseen Posted December 2, 2013 Welcome from BC here~ I only got into DDs for about a year (influence from the bf whose a DD collector. lol). Right now I only have an 06 girl and the rest of the family are resin folk from Volks and Fairyland. I've cut down my resin family quite a bit this year. You must be so excited and antsy to get your Miku now! Can't wait to see pictures of her. chiseen faceup shop
drowranger Posted December 2, 2013 Welcome to the forum! I'm from Canada too and I'm waiting for Miku as well (I even own several Luts bjd too!). It's going to be a long wait for Miku but it will be worth it in the end. I waited a long time for my first DD (Saber Extra) and even though time seemed to crawl bye while I was waiting, it was so worth it in the end when she arrived. After only owning bjd I was totally amazed by how well DD were able to pose (and keep the pose). The only thing is that after she arrived, I found myself looking for more. Now I own 4 DD girls... that's the thing, you start with one, then before you know it you have a family. ^^; Anyway, welcome again to the DD world!

Better get crackin' on knowing your Dollfie types for custom accessories Hello, 'ello! The weather has been quite nice here. Nice and cool...perfect weather for a Snow Miku (don't even think about it, Volks!). I'm already enjoying her even though she isn't here yet! I've already started to plan her character out. I've got basic Dollfie care down so far, but still completely lost on pretty much everything else. I went to my first meetup yesterday learned a lot about them. It was nice to see so many of them in person even if I was a bit envious. :p Welcome from BC here~ I only got into DDs for about a year (influence from the bf whose a DD collector. lol). Thank you for the welcome! ^^ I looked up the 06 head and have now added it to my wishlist. xD The 06 head is very cute. My resin family isn't very large, and while I have been eyeing resin folk from various companies (including Volks and Fairyland), I'm quite content with my current resin crew. The same will happen with DDs; I may get some more of them in the future, but I will probably stick with having a small group of them. I am very antsy to get Miku! Normally when I am expecting a doll, I try to forget about them until it's time for them to arrive home, but I can't seem to do that with this girl. I find the less I think about them, the easier the wait is. I'll definitely post some pictures of her when she finally arrives. Welcome to the forum! Good to see that I'm not the only one affected by both Miku and Luts' charm. :p Leave me alone, Luts. Miku ate my winter event money... Ooh, Saber Extra! Very nice! I think Saber and Miku will look very good together in pictures. It may look like a long wait time, but I found this year went by very quickly and I'm sure next year will go by fast too. Or it will feel as if it's going by slower due to my anxious waiting. D: I was amazed by how easy DDs pose when I was at the meetup yesterday! There was no fighting with them to get them to pose. It was just, WOW! Plus no need to worry about them potentially toppling over and breaking a finger either, which will be nice. There's a few more DD girls that I want to get at some point; however, I want to do what I did with my first resin doll, which is to just have the one doll for a year or so to get used her. It will also give me time to weed out dolls on my wishlist that I don't want as much as I think I do. I don't want to go DD crazy and start trying to buy up every cute DD I see. xD

One of my favorite standard molds :3 They can also have very diverse looks just by simple changes in face up! My local community has a number of 06 heads but they all look very different. ^^ I recently placed an order for two peakswoods dolls. Its been over two years since I last bought a resin doll directly from the company instead of secondhand on the marketplace and I am SUPER excited. I have forgotten how patient you need to be when ordering from companies. The wait is killing me!! XD chiseen faceup shop
