I've been interested in DDs for about 5 years or so, but didn't take the plunge in getting one for myself until just now. I do collect resin BJDs, so I understand how these pretties can suck up your pocket money in a flash. I'm sure that's partly the reason why I never bought one, but I was bitten by an adorable DDS Mayu. She should arrive tomorrow and I'm quite excited about it! Now that she's taken a bite out of your pocketbook, though, watch out! There will be even bigger bites coming in the future, I'm sure! Anyway, welcome!
