Hello there everyone! I'm new here (+Update/Re-introduction)

Hi there everyone, my name is Rozen!

 

I currently live in Japan and I'm awaiting the arrival of my first Dollfie Dream!

I've always been fascinated with dolls, and have been obsessed with DD's since about two years ago. I currently have 8 other dolls, that aren't related to volks, so I have been collecting dolls in general for about 4-5 years but just recently, very recently, started collecting Dollfie Dreams!

 

I am an extremely young collector. So I want to apologize for, I don't know, not being wise enough. (I feel very blessed to be able to join this form). Any who, I'm looking forward to making some new friends who share my interests!

 

So I think that's it for introductions, I'll be more than willing to answer any questions as well. ^_^

AN UPDATE

 

Hello everyone, I think it's time for an update since I practically disappeared for a year just after joining. Truth of the matter was, for a LONG time I wasn't able to afford or make any clothes for my beloved Evelyn, and because of this I felt embarrassed and avoided posting on this wonderful forum. I didn't feel like a good doll owner, and that I was under-par with all the wonderful people here. So needless to say, this caused me to stay away from the forum and raise some funds till I could show off my girl's true glory.

 

I'm now happy to report that my girl has 3 outfits I made her, and she looks to be so much happier. I'm still working on my sewing skills and the classes I take really help in that aspect. My sewing teacher adores her and is happy to help me make clothes that fit her well.

 

I still have quite a bit of work to do on her though; including getting new eyes for her, a new wig, and a pair of shoes. She's slowly coming together and I couldn't be more thrilled!

 

As a little end note, I feel like I should mention another reason why my funds were strained for along time, and the reason for this is because I was saving up for a new girl! That's right, if all goes well (and I pray it does, considering I've never ordered from Mandarake before and I'm super nervous...) I will be getting a full set Dollfie Dream Yoko!!! Saving all that money for YEARS was FINALLY worth it!

 

Any who, I'm glad to be back and hopefully I'll be able to post pictures soon!

No need to apologize for not being "wise" enough. Practically everyone starts at the beginning with little knowledge on Dollfies'. I myself have been helped numerous times from fellow members when I did not know something or had a question. We all share information and ask questions all the time.

 

Similar to yourself, I started with other dolls (resin) before adding Dollfies to my collection.

I think it's really neat that you live in Japan! I've always wanted to visit there, but I feel that my Japanese isn't good enough, or I might get lost~

 

There's definitely no wrong time to jump into the Dollfie Dream field. Make sure to have lots of fun when Yukino arrives; the possibilities are rather endless with Dollfies. She'll be very happy when you give her a name and customize her some. :D

Thanks! I actually just moved here last month, I was living in the states before.

Most people here speak some amount of English, so if you do end up lost (which I have ) most people can point you in the right direction . It's a lovely place, and I hope you'll be able to visit one day!

 

I'm over joyed about the possibilities with Yukino! I can't wait to rename her and everything! ^_^ I'll agree, dollfies are amazing in that aspect!

 

P.S. You sound pretty cool yourself.

I hope that the move went smoothly for you, and that you enjoy Japan! It seems like a busy place, so I wouldn't blame anyone for getting lost! I'd really like to go, just to experience the culture and see the birthplace of my favorite anime/manga/utaite/Dollfies. xD
