Playing with Eyes

This is something I rarely do because it kinda weirds me out since the eyes are very much a distinctive part of each one of my DD. I started doing it partally because Raven wanted/needed to see Sohi in some different eyes since he had originally wanted to give her some new ones. Formulating stuff like that just isn't one of his strong points, so I decided play round robin with some of the eyes we have.

I love my bree, but she looks creepy to me in these eyes.

These are the ones that Raven decided on for Sohi but in blue. We are still trying to figure out the entire ramifications of Sohi being Bree's older sister...

She's so adorable! Too bad the eyes are the wrong color. I seriously don't need 4 DD with the same exact eyes! I'm just not sure if the green of the same type would be the same... I admit I've never been a fan of most of the 02 heads because they all look so angry, but I was floored when I put these eyes in her. She's so cute that I mentally squeak every time I see this pic, even if she is a bit cross-eyed.

OMG... its the most pissed off DD I've ever seen! Lucas, you weren't supposed to be scary! Good thing I never intended your eyes to look like this. Maybe if you had a body and everything else you need, you wouldn't be so mad... I should be thankful that I have Tama to protect me in my sleep.

Heh, it's all about the eyes isn't it? I really like the MOMO eyes in Lucas in the last 2 pics, they look really awesome! He gives me a Gilgamesh feeling with that attitude of "Who do you think you're talking to chump?"

 

But really, the eyes are such a huge part of who a DD is, you can't help but mess around a bit to make sure the right eyes are in the right girl. I know because my Mai took me close to 9 months to figure out! It took me forever to get her look like I wanted but once she got her Saber Extra "extra" eyes installed, she was finally whole to me.

 

And speaking of eyes, you mentioned that you can't have multiple DD's with the same exact eyes. Is that a personal choice or do you just think it won't work for your girl/guys/family? The only reason I ask is because that I have FIVE girls with the same color and style eyes.... just in different sizes.

 

As you probably know already, I love red eyes in DD's, the Volks Madder Red being my faves. That's mainly due to Manami having come with those when I first adopted her. So when I started adding more girls to the family, I found myself gravitating to red eyes more and more. And since I have lots of 01 girls like Manami, why not keep a good thing going? I have the following girls with the same eyes:

Even with the same eyes, I got totally different styles and looks from each of them. And it's not like I even did this consciously for half of them as Sprout and Kino came with those eyes already installed when they were adopted! Reiko was a choice by me due to how she came into being and Bud of course had to have the same eyes as her older sister Sprout.

 

Sorry for the huge diatribe and pics, I just wanted to show you that you CAN have the same eyes in girls and still have completely different looks with them.

Momo default eyes seems to work pretty good on boys... I like how they look on Kiyoteru.
