Denesha Posted December 29, 2013 Hello Everyone! My name is Juli and I hail from the mystical lands of New York~ My 3 favorite things are Dolls, Dragons, and Duck Dynasty. XD I have been lurking around these forums for some time (about a year? Yeah, probably a year. -_-) without an account, but decided tonight in the wee hours of the morning, it's really about time to make an account before 2014 rolls around. I have one girl, DDII Aoi that has been with me for the past year and change. I found Volks while looking up anime figures online one day and bought Aoi almost instantly. I don't have many accessories for her (outfits should not cost $100 ;-;), so she hangs around in her bunny pajama's all day, but I don't think she minds. What a nice life, sitting around, being lazy in your comfy pjs, Aoi. :l I just finished modding her this month with elf ears made from clay. They're not perfect, but that's what Photoshop is for. XD Also, thinking about making some elvish clothes. I can't seem to find many fantasy-based dollfie clothes online for sale or instock. ): Well anyway, that's me and my girl. Thanks for reading, looking forward to meeting everyone, and happy new year very soon!
Saturn226 Posted December 29, 2013 I was also shocked at the price of clothing. Doll clothes costs more than my own sometimes haha, but I can't let my girl go naked! Fantasy clothes would be very nice, but I also havent seen many of them in my search. Nice to meet you

Aoi sounds like she has quite the good life right now, being in her PJ's all day. I'll agree some outfits really shouldn't cost a $100, but hey these girls are worth it. Plus the outrageous cost of clothing is the perfect excuse to learn how to sew/make your own, that way you can make exactly what you want without the crazy price. Can't wait to hear from you again ~Rozen Khepra, Nero, Tamaki, Ginkgo, Kana, Bernkastel, Himiko, Ann, Rin, Chii, Vampire, Amane, And Others That May Come And Go. Can't wait to hear from you again ~Rozen No, clothes shouldn't be so expensive. ): I would like to buy Aoi the new Natsuki bear pjs I see on eBay (for the low price of $239!), oooor I could not starve and pay my electric bill lol. Actually, I had purchased a really nice sewing machine with the intend to make her clothes, but sewing tiny clothes is really hard. ><;; I used to watch my mother make clothes all time, so I figured scaled down versions oughta be a piece of cake, but I don't think I inherited her sewing talents. -_- I must have watched at least 7 youtube videos just to learn how to thread the stupid needle. And I'm still not 100% sure on that. XD I am trying to make a Lady Wizard Set replica, but it's not working out quite as planned. Looks more like a Lady Peasant Set instead. *sob*
