OldMagician Posted January 1, 2014 Time to present my Saber, who is named Saber (I know, very original)... Surprisingly (to me at least) she and Rook (a Domuya Nightmare) seem to go along just fine. Don't know if Bel have much to say, Rook is quite independent and choose his riders according to his own ideas (and lately Bel and the other Domuya dames have been quite occupied with contemporary weaponry, if you happens to know where I can get a tank in 1:3 scale please PM me). I think she can hold on to both saddle and sword, but I might have to think about some better riding gear. Whoa! Rook is awesome. Of course, it goes without saying that Saber is too. But as someone who has never seen a Domuya Nightmare before, I am just in awe of that horse and the wicked armor. More photos!!!! Thanks, only problem with it is the weight (and size), it's great amounts of resin, and the fact that the chain-mail that covers the whole horse under the armour is made of steel doesn't help much... Saber might become the only doll I have that can handle the war-scythe that came with the nightmare, need to check when I get the extra hands from Volks. Billy There are not that many around of these nightmares, they where probably the doom of Domuya doll. The armour is fantastic, the pictures does not show half of it, and under the plate, and steel chain and leather cover is a ball jointed black horse, with wavy mane (hard to believe). I only wish they made him less massive and perhaps had used aluminium instead of steel, he is quite a heavy thing... Problem, except for the very small amount of usable daylight at 60 degrees north, was slippery ground. I do not want the equipage to land hard in the filth, since I doubt that Sabers dress is washable... One idea is perhaps to set it up with greenscreen indoors... And I think she needs the large gripping/sword holding hands I ordered from Volks to swing the sword and the war-scythe. Saber is the first one who is a perfect match, and I hadn't even noticed the gold match... Just wait until you see the matching shield and the war-scythe in action. Wow! I'm highly impressed. fujiro Posted January 5, 2014 They look awesome together! It's been forever since I've seen a Domuya Nightmare. They didn't make many and closed their website before I got the money to try for one myself. I'm so jealous. With the MyTwinn Prancer out of production as well I haven't been able to find a horse even remotely in scale to the DD size ladies. And the Nightmare is articulated! They just look so good together.
