XOHimitsuOX Posted January 19, 2014 13, turning 15 to be exact! They looooove your chairs.... BTW the chair weighs 500g on its own, shipping would cost a bit I'll probably do some experimenting with different designs.
nogo171 Posted January 19, 2014 BTW the chair weighs 500g on its own, shipping would cost a bit I'll probably do some experimenting with different designs. Wow, that's quite a lot of weight? How thick was the acrylic? I'm not sure how is it in your place but in my place, laser engraving or laser cutting on acrylic is quite affordable (when doing prototypes at uni, we always went with acrylic rather than wood because not only the cuts were more accurate but the price were also cheaper. When asked, they said in here, labor is the most expensive thing and since laser cut would be done 100% by machines, it would be cheaper lol). So I'm hoping to see some kind of patterns or textures on the chairs ^^ At home Haruka (Haruka Niimi), Akira (Akira), Saber (Saber Alter), Madoka (Madoka SQ-Lab), Rise (Rise Kujikawa), Yukiho (Yukiho Hagiwara) & Touka (DDH-07)

OldMagician Posted January 21, 2014 Great work! Working with acrylic sheets can be great fun. Not until i can get nice straight bends in the acrylic. An easy way to accomplish this is using a pin board... Basically a board with a straight standing pin with the radius corresponding to the bend you want to accomplish. If you want to make several of the same model set pins (preferably removable) for each bend and just start to bend around them (hope that explanation makes sense). Unfortunately I have no such board up for the moment and thus can't take any photos to help, and it was a while since last (made a couple of frames to show magnetic levitation). But this is inspiring so I just might copy you on this (if I may for private use). Edit: An easy way to make a table is to use two V-formed pieces as support [><] -like... Jezrah Posted February 1, 2014 This is awesome, really stylish looking. I was wondering, is it possible to design it in such a way that you could stack multiple together? Just a thought after the comments about people wanting several.
