Thanks! Katerina is kind of old fashioned and takes her maid duties very seriously. I think a lot of that has to do with how she idolizes Rei and the fact she was a maid in her last family too. So using a rolling pin for her weapon was a no brainer.

baldylox, this was so much fun to read!! I love sets of dolls, and an entire clan of warrior maids is a riot!

 

The different outfits you chose for them do so much to convey what their characters are. And I love how Rei runs the household with an iron fist. She is strict, but honest and fair. (I have a similar character here in my resin family, NO one will cross him!)

 

Chizuru is lovely! And Katerina will prove worthy, I am sure! She really wants to please Rei.

 

And (stepping outside the story) I can imagine what it's like wrangling just this PART of your DD family! Making sure everyone stays standing, is posed nicely, and is looking the right direction and paying attention is a MAJOR undertaking!

 

Well done, and fun! I'm looking forward to your next chapters.

It wasn't easy to get the outfits mathed up to the girls but once things fell into place, they all just kind of "worked". I'm glad you like how I have them outfitted. And yes, Rei does run things pretty hardcore but she's always fair about things. Just don't get her mad at you and all will be well.

Thank you! Katerina is all about Rei and is VERY attentive to her. Ever since she arrived she's been helping Rei on a dialy basis so Rei definitely holds her in high regard.

Ha ha, it *IS* quite an undertaking! But to me, it's all worth it once the final shoot is complete. It's hard work and takes a lot of time to set up and do but I really enjoy the final photos as well as sharing them here with friends. Thank you for the kind words about everything!

I feel the same way when I finish a photoshoot featuring many or all of my BJDs! It takes a lot of hard work and tons of time. I've had it take the better part of a day (or night!). I love looking at the pictures afterwards though, it makes it all worth it.

 

By the way, I do Civil War reenacting as a hobby, and we have a vivandiere named Miss Billie on the Confederate side, who carries a rolling pin in a special carrier on her belt as a weapon! So she and Katerina are in good company. LOL!
