Bellatrix Posted January 19, 2014 Hi! One pair of custom eyes I bought (Twin Snow brand) is broken: the lens slipped off the base. I succesfully removed the old glue, what glue could I use to attach the lens back in place? Twin snow used a slightly violet glue, but I have no idea which one it is. I don't want to use super glue because it damages the plastic, while white glue and gloss don't dry even after a whole night Thanks for any tip >_< ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
Shailara Posted January 19, 2014 No matter what glue you use, you'll probably need to wait a couple days. 2-3. (\_/) ( ' .' ) ( uu)
Poofiemus Posted January 19, 2014 I used Gem Tack/Embellish It on all my girls' eyes. It takes AGES to dry--the 18mm ones for Agatha and Homura took about 5 days, while Nanoha's 24mm ones took 7-8. But they came out really nicely in the end. By the way, I glue the print to the lens, let it dry completely, and THEN put them in the base. That seems to help a lot in making sure they dry properly clear. In fact, I don't even cut them off the sheet until the glue is dry, and then trim them just enough to get them in, so I don't even have to glue the lens to the white. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.

But sadly the printed part is already glued to the white base... :-/ ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
chien Posted January 20, 2014 I use E-6000! It takes two days to dry but is my favorite glue for plastic eyes. Dries clear and is really strong.
