My first 2 DD's

My first two DD's, Standard Model Miko and Chihaya. I love them! They are like 10x better than the anime figures I collect! I apologize for the low quality photos from my tablet.

 

It's going to be hard to keep my wallet closed. I'm glad I did not get into this hobby earlier in life when I had little money.

 

Congrats on your first two girls! You got two really pretty ones too, the Miko DDdy is probably my favorite of all the regular girls.... I just love how cute she is!

 

You're right tho, your wallet is now a goner. There's nothing you can do about it either. I'm sorry for your loss but just think..... your girls will be happy!

May I ask you if you've had any issues with staining when it comes to Chihaya's wig? My sister is getting her soon, and it's something she's worried about.

I soaked Chihaya's wig in cold water and human shampoo (basic kinds with minimal additives) for about 3 days. I changed the water and shampoo about 7 times, at 6 to 8 hour intervals. I rinsed the wig with clean water between changes. The first 3 changes yield significant amounts of blue dye in the water, enough to cause a stain ring on the side of the bucket. Use a white bucket.

 

After all that, I have had the wig on for about a week so far with no staining caused by the hair strands. I'm using a silicone head cap + cloth head cap under the wig as well.
