I got a DD2 bust with my DD3 base body?

Why are they advertising bigger arm holes as though it's a good thing I wonder.

Maybe it allows more shoulder movement? The upper frame's shoulders can move forward and back, but maybe the smaller rings (with the arms tightly against them) caused the vinyl body to restrict movement more.

I thought I heard something like people (in Japan?) requested large holes/openings. They said something like it looks better for sleeveless outfits.

I also think that bigger holes better for open outfits. Actually I started to think so when replaced bust for the one with smaller holes.

I'm just curious since I have never tried switching busts like that, why do you think it's better for open outfits? I'm not questioning your taste or anything, I just can't understand the reason without seeing it.

I think Volks was saying that it looks more like a shadowy part of the shoulder socket instead of a flat plastic area. Flat plastic surfaces make them look less "realistic."

I was convinced that they had made a mistake but now it's obvious that it's intentional. Still a bit inconvenient that they keep the existing product number after making such a significant change as this though.

When the doll is completely put together, can you tell the difference or does the bust fit the new body correctly? Does the more open socket show the internal structure even when the arm is attached?

Initially I thought there was a difference but now I'm not sure if it's just due to slight differences from bust to bust, regardless of it being a DD2 or DD3 model. In my case at least you can't tell the difference when the doll has clothes on that covers the area where the bust and waist meet.

No, the arm completely covers that up when attached.

Now that I actually have a DDdyIII, and busts with both large and small arm holes, it actually make sense that Volks would switch back to the busy with the larger holes. The arms seem to sit more flush with the torso with the larger holes. It's not a big difference, but noticeable if you're looking for it. I'm probably going to open up the arm holes on my extra bust.

On the left is the M-bust that came with Yaya back in February, and on the right is the Semi-White S-bust I ordered about a month ago, which I assume was manufactured recently.
