Bouncing_Tigger Posted January 26, 2014 Even though we haven’t formally introduced a couple of our girls yet, I couldn’t wait any longer to tell our Christmas story so here it is, with special thanks to DarkAvenger696 for the rush on the Christmas jammies in December! Charlotte: I’m happy that Mama and Da said we could have our stockings as soon as we woke up! Kathleen: Yes, but only if we didn’t wake them up, so don’t be too loud. Charlotte: And we get to see all our pretty cards, too! Gretchen: I’m telling you, I heard whispering under the Christmas tree yesterday. Mystique: I hope this dumb thing isn’t just full of toys and junk. I’m hungry! Where’s the good stuff? Kathleen: It is Christmas and that’s when magic is the strongest. You probably heard the elves, Gretchen. Gretchen: Didn’t sound like elves to me! Sounded like talking. Mystique: YES!! Finally!!! Some good stuff!! Charlotte: Look what I got!! Hey!?! What’s that noise? Are Mama and Da finally awake? Kathleen: I don’t think so. It didn’t sound like them. Strange, very strange. Did you hear that, Misty? Mystique: (totally ignoring everyone) Now this is what I call great stocking stuff! Gretchen: See? That’s what I mean…whispers and funny noises. Did ya hear that? Did ya? Did ya? Charlotte: LOOK!! Gretchen: Do you see that? Do ya? Do ya? I told you I heard voices under the tree! I told you!! ?: (whispers) Holly…get back here! You know you aren’t supposed to be out of your Christmas box until your new Mama opens it this morning! Now I had to get out and come to get you, dear, and I’m not supposed to be out either. Come along now… Holly: But I just wanted to see what they were doing, Noelle. I’ll come right back in a minute. I promise!! Kathleen: Hello little one…Who are you? Mystique: This Christmas stocking thing rocks!! Nom nom nom Kathleen: Hello? We hear both of you so you might as well come out! Noelle: Hello, Kathleen. I’m Noelle and this little one is Holly. I’m sorry if we startled you. We aren’t supposed to be out of our wrapping yet! Kathleen: But…How do you know my name? Noelle: We know all of you. You are Kathleen and that’s Charlotte, Gretchen, and Mystique. Kathleen: But how do you know that? Noelle: Well…I’ve been here since September … Holly has only been here since November but she knows all of you, too. Da kept us both hidden because we are a very special Christmas surprise for Mama. We’ve been watching and listening to all of you since we arrived. That’s how we know all about you and who you are!! Da found me at a place called Mandarake and I wasn’t very expensive to adopt. In fact, he had never seen my full set at my price before and knew that he probably wouldn’t see it for under $1,000 again! There are lots of unloved, unwanted girls there and he knew how much Mama loved me so he adopted me right away without telling her and he’s been secretly looking after me all this time. It was really hard for him to keep me secret. He told me he just wanted to shout “LOOK!! SHE’S HERE!! SHE’S HOME!!!” whenever Mama looked longingly at pictures of me on the forum. Holly was the biggest surprise, though, even for Da. He knew that Mama had MDD love but didn’t think he could afford to support another girl right now, knowing I was home. He was surfing on the Volk’s website one night while Mama was sewing and they were talking about MDD’s again. He told her the body was listed there, but she told him you can’t buy them anymore and new bodies were much more expensive. She said “Oh. If you click on it, it will just tell you that it’s not available.” but when he clicked, it went into his cart. He didn’t tell Mama. He knew Holly was in his cart but he was afraid that when he tried to check out, she wouldn’t be! He added a head and some extra hands and then went to the checkout and, SURPRISE…everything went through. He couldn’t believe it but he kept his face blank and told Mama “Yeah, not available.” When Holly got home, he “borrowed” some eyes Mama had just bought and an extra wig she had, and then he put Holly all together in a nighty he borrowed from Charlotte. Charlotte: So that’s what happened to my nighty! It was driving Mama crazy when she couldn’t find that stuff!! She thought she had “brain freeze” and couldn’t remember where she put it! She said she would have to do a “major search and clean up this mess” after Christmas! Noelle: Da put us in a special hiding place so Mama wouldn’t find us and we’ve been living there together ever since. We even kept Sorbet on a leash so he wouldn't get away and spoil the surprise! We only came out when nobody was around. That’s why we know all about you! He only wrapped us and put us under the tree yesterday. Then he put our boxes close together so we could talk to each other and so Holly wouldn’t be lonely or scared! Gretchen: SEE!! I told you I heard whispering yesterday!! Charlotte, Gretchen, and Kathleen: Welcome home Noelle and Holly! Mama is going to be totally blown away when she sees the two of you this morning! Mystique: Hey!! Who are these guys? Where did they come from? I’m not sharing my food with them, whoever they are!! There’s barely enough here for me!!! MINE!! It’s all MINE!!! …Hey, anybody got any Christmas stocking chocolate they don’t want? I have the most incredible (and sneaky) husband in the world! I had absolutely no idea about either of these girls and I can’t believe he was able to keep it a secret for so long without me even being slightly suspicious!! My only grail, Melty, (now Noelle) is home with me and I have the added bonus of the cutest little MDD in the world, Holly!! I still can’t believe it and I haven’t let either one of them out of my sight since Christmas morning. Right now, they sleep every night in my nightstand drawer! It’s a good thing that our other girls understand that I’m just so shocked I need to have these two near me for a while so I know I really do have both of them! Each of our girls is spending time with our two newest family members one-on-one…except for Mystique, who is still grousing about not sharing her food stash with these ‘strangers from who knows where’! Our DD family is now complete!! Well…except maybe for that thing about MDD’s getting lonely…
battrastard Posted January 26, 2014 D'awww! That is about the coolest Xmas story ever!! You have a very understanding "other half" and I give kudos to him! *salute* I love the back-story in all of this, it just adds flavor to an awesome intro for your newest girls, and that always rocks! Congrats to all of you! Thanks! I really did wonder if, even after all these years (married 33 years this year ), he would understand this when my daughter "dragged me kicking and screaming" into the DD world last year, but he really does "get it". In fact, he gets it so well that Mystique (Saber) is actually HIS, not mine -- and rather than "lurking," he has joined the forum!! We haven't done an intro for her yet, but we are working at one so it is coming eventually. Instead of it being my hobby, it is actually our hobby and we spend many happy hours together playing with outfit and furniture designs/construction. He's still into rebuilding old cars -- his latest being a Mercedes convertible -- but he is also loving the DD world so its great fun! Once we retire in a few years, I have a feeling we'll be too busy with our girls to even notice we aren't working anymore!

Bouncing_Tigger Posted January 28, 2014 Awww that is so sweet of your husband. You are one lucky lady And your girls are all so cute, especially in their jammies. Looking forward to seeing more of them. Lucky is an understatement, and I agree that the jammies are just too sweet! I'm hoping to get more of my planned stories done, especially for the girl I haven't formally introduced yet, and then I'm going to help my hubby get his girls introduced because he's more of a 'lurker' on the forum rather than someone who comments very much, so maybe there will be more pictures to come! That is absolutely fantastic !!! I wish my husband could surprise me too.....instead he is asking me ''Are you sure that is what you want ?'' a hundred times I think my hubby probably doesn't have to ask me because I 'volunteer' the information so often!! Awww the pictures are just too cute and love the PJ's. Thanks! My photography skills really suck, but I'm trying to get better! I think when you get older, new things take soooo much longer to figure out. At least there is one good thing...I don't think I could get any worse at picture taking so I probably don't have anywhere to go from here but "up"!
