Both new DDs are cute, but I think this time I'm safe. Although if they release NS Mariko I could be in trouble.

Actually I really like the new SD Nono, she's looking more anime-ish than the usual with that cute twin tails wig

Anybody know if the SDGr clothes fit DD?

 

They fits, but are a little big at hips. I have tried SDGr outfit from Lorina to a DD M body in the past.

What is the bust size of the Dog Days DD?

Wow, I think I'm actually safe this Dolpa. Neither the dolls or the outfits are anything I'm interested in, aside from those grey school uniforms that are on the SDs there.

Do you think that alternate dress for Millhiore F. Biscotti (M bust) would fit an L bust? I really love the colors (red & pink go so well!) and I think it would look absolutely wonderful on Saber Nero. Because of the type of dress it is I thought maybe it would be an okay fit, anyone have an opinion on it? :3

Hm, I don't know actually. It does look like the top may be elastic, but it could just be gathered. However, I'll bet you anything that over the next couple weeks the DD blog will be trying these outfits on other DD body types that they'll fit, so hopefully we'll see Mariko, an L bust DDII, or a DDDy stuffed into it. Personally I'm hoping to see that LPC Black Label plaid-and-black ensemble on an M bust girl, because it's adorable. Well, that, and if it doesn't fit an M bust DD, I may be tempted to go for Mariko's more expensive alt set with the leetle cape. ^^;

Somebody on DoA pointed out this page: http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/store/ctg_wig/index.aspx It's about the wig renewal, including these new colors. From left to right they are apparently: "Cork brown", "cinnamon gold", "charcoal brown", "pink brown", and "biscuit gold".

 

Weird names aside ("biscuit gold" wtf?), they are some nice colors. I'm particularly drooling over cinnamon gold myself, but am kind of miffed that so far at least it's only listed for an MSD size style. Still, I have a suspicion that it'll show up in other wigs, partially because it's pretty enough that I bet it'll be popular, and partly because it looks remarkably like the wig on the custom Kirisato Haruka from the Duel Knights custom girls displayed a couple months ago. If I'm right, that means they've used it on a DD size wig already, so hopefully they'll expand the color's use so we can have it for our girls.

Innocentsake: I'm not sure how DDS outfits fit on DD3 body since hte DD3 is just so much taller than dds/dd2. Even if the bust did fit, the length of the dress might be awkward >__>

You could always try to get it and sell it if anything (;

Pandacornn:Yeah that is true... even my husband told me that if the bust fit the length wouldn't be correct ;o; Because of that I probably won't be going for that, I'll go for one of the other outfits I'm sure will fit on her. And ah I love the alternate wig, I kind of wish they would sell it separately ;o;

I wanted a white skin DDS from the start DDS where announced, sadly Mariko doesn't do it for me. I really like her clothes but she's just too busty for me. I believe she'd be looking better with smaller eyes, though.

Mariko looks a lot like a Yukino/03 head to me. I'm not going to outright say she is one at this point, but they're extremely similar. (Hopefully somebody who gets her will pop her head off and check her mold number, morbid as that sounds. That'd settle the issue.)

 

Mariko herself isn't inducing instant love (which is lucky since Nanoha just took up my new doll budget instead), but that dress set is (though its name makes me giggle for some reason). I'll more likely go for that SD plaid and black set instead for the sake of buget, but it's just sooooo cute! Heck, I'd wear it if it came in people size.

I wasn't very fond of Mariko until I saw these new shots of her... now I really want her. I swore I wouldn't go for any more dolls this year but I think both Mariko and Millhiore are coming home with me

I think Mariko is cute, but there are a few flaws that prevents me from wanting her. >_>;;

Though I really adore her outfits. I have to agree that her bust is a tad too big, especially for a DDS body.

I'm a little worried that the after-sale pictures of Mariko with different wigs will be amazing. Right now, I like her, but not enough to buy her. Hmm.

Mariko is very lovely! While I still don't want her enough to get her I must say she looks great in those pictures. That Magical Peach Dress doesn't seem to suit her much but still very cute in general.

Well, the K-on! Dollfies, Mio and Yui, were not released outside Japan either. Besides being sold at a Dolpa, both the Volks Japan website and TBS webstore had them in stock too, so they seem pretty plentiful.

I'm glad that the new DDs are cute but not so cute that I'm yearning to have them for myself. Though the outfits they are offering are such a different story

Usually when character dolls don't make it to the US, it's because of legal licensing funk. As mentioned, the Touhou and K-On girls suffered this, and I think the Ikkitousen girls Kanu and Ryomou did too. I have this nagging feeling that there's somebody else too that I'm forgetting. . .

 

On the bright side for Millhiore, the studio that owns her, 7Arcs, also owns Nanoha, and those girls did get Ok'd for US release. So the Japanese side of the equation has precedent to give the OK; the only other potential hangup would be if there's already somebody holding the US license for the show.
