Her faceup is kinda heavy... not my cup of tea. Makes the girl less versatile. It is a pity, because her default outfit is awesome!

Yeah, I agree that I'm not digging her faceup too much. Her eyes and eyebrows are fine, but her mouth bugs me. Can't tell how much of that is caused by the sculpt or the faceup though at this point, but either way that big red line has all the subtlety of a brick. I still think she's kind of cute, and will enjoy the pic spam when she starts shipping out, but I'm really hoping to see someone customize that mouth.

I love these new photos of her. Much better than teh last batch. I really love her eye make up but I agree with that mouth. It looks like her mouth is awkwardly open or like she just ate hot cheetos LOL

If I get her, I'm really tempted to re-do the mouth but I'm afraid of lowering her after-market value if I ever wish to sell her T__T;

It is unclear what is achievable in reality but it is fun to play with her look digitally.

Her face sculpt isn't calling to me. With Akira there was definite potential (even in Volks bad promo pics) but I had no money for her at the time. Milli isn't doing anything for me.

 

And I swear Mariko-sensei looks like a WS version of Yukino.

Yeah, though Milhi is cute, she's not saying, "Bring me home" to me. Which is good, because I don't think she could hack it with the sheer level of crazy in this house!

 

Dude, I'm so glad you said that--I thought I was the only one who thought that! XD Heck, even though they say she's a new mold, it's really hard to convince myself that she's not really a Yukino/03 slight mod. Even if I'm wrong, they still definitely share similarities in the mouth and the down-tilting eye shape, and in the case of Yukino specifically even a similar faceup vibe.

Both DD's and their outfits will be available! For Millhi and her dress it says **This item is only available through Volks USA** though, so I'd guess those items won't be available from the USA dealers.

 

And its funny you guys should mention Yukino, I definitely noticed how Mariko resembles her too. Mariko, despite being a teacher, strikes me as a bit younger looking though.

 

I love Millhi's sweet smile, especially with the paler lips! I think I prefer her in the long wig that comes with her concert set, though.

Does the US site lottery confirmation mean it's likely the international site will also hold a lottery? I couldn't find a link anywhere on the international site, although that could be due to my own navigation failure rather than it not existing

There is always a lottery held. The Volks USA one is usually held the same weekend as the event, but the international lottery is held about 2 weeks after. I think they post info on it after the live event is over so maybe around the 20th they will have entry dates and other info. Its not unusual for entry information to not be up yet so don't worry and keep checking back.

Mariko-chan seems like a white DDS with a shapely bust designed for the DDS body. - *ahem - Right after I checked the DD blog, I came straight here, .

 

Never mind, I just confirmed *my own long-standing suspicion of Mariko-chan being a white skin DDS as well as the shapely L bust. Geez, I really haven't been keeping up with news of Mariko-chan. Well, I can't really blame myself since I originally wasn't interested in Mariko.

These new pics really reinforce my question too. I like the look of the Shapely bust but on her, it seems just too much. And that's saying A LOT coming from ME.

 

Maybe I am just jealous hat she has that bust and I can't find one yet for my Miyuki. One of these days....

I wouldn't know how Mariko-chan could stand up either! That bust seems to be just a little bit too much for me. I'm not a lolicon, but I think Mariko-chan is very sexy with such a bust!

Wonder if they'll ever do a shapely M-bust... It'd be nice to have the cleavage with a bust that's in the same time zone

 

Predicted for next Dolpa: accessories for Mariko included back brace and orthopedic shoes

It's funny how she looks pretty normal with the coat on, then BAM! BOOBIES!

 

She's really cute in that dress. Though if I am lucky enough to win her, then my first order of business will be prying those wonky eyes out of her pretty little head, at least if they come positioned like that. They are driving me nuts! xD
