Making first girl, worried about staining...

Recommended Posts

As title states, I'm in the process of making my first Dollfie. I have ordered most of the parts I want, however I am worried about stains, and wondering if I should get headcaps and bodystockings.

If I should (which I feel is probable)... where is the best place to get them? The Volks store is really quite a pain to navigate and I can't find them, when I'm sure I had seen them there previously. I also can't see similar on other sites I've been browsing recently.

I don't want a full body protector, as the legs will be exposed, however torso/scalp/arms can all be covered, so I'm wondering if there is a legless (or at least shinless) stocking that can protect my planned girl.

Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on what kind of clothing/wigs you want.

If your girl is going to have bright colored her, and the wig cap of the wig is of a bright material, there usually isn't much chance of staining.

Same goes for clothes.

Washing the clothes a couple of times also helps reducing or removing the chances of staining.

I don't use body stockings for any of my girls and I just use a cap for one of them.

Coolcat has some good head caps but if I remember correctly, their body stockings are more expensive than they need to be.

I had bought a few full body bodystocking from Cool Cat. While you don't have to worry about staining, it does comes with its own set of problems based on full bodystocking.

- You probably have to upsize the clothings. For example, a DD-M has to use DD-L in order to fit comfortably. Some parts like shoes will be harder to put on since the shoes kinda come in a standard size. It will also be harder to put on accessories or clothings on the arms since you have to fit it over the bodystocking while trying not to push it back instead.

- Hard to match to actual color skin tone. It kinda sticks out.

- Expensive like mentioned by Coffee. Enough for you to buy a set of casual wear.

- Can restrict the movement of the joints, making it harder to pose, especially in sitting position. In sitting position, the actual length along the body actually increases so you will have to stretch it (with bit of force)

I have used there full bodystocking on a DDS and had no prombles at with it also the DDS could wear SD shoes just fine with it.
