MDD lose arm, asking for help :(

hi everyone, I have a MDD and her arms are lose. by lose i mean if you hold up her arms (like a air plane pose) her arms kinda drop down insted of holding her pose.... any advice?

MDD I or MDDIII? I have an MDDI and taping the pegs with a layer of masking tape (the thin cream colored kind) helped tighten her arms up. They would fall straight out at the elbow. If it bunches up when your trying to reinstall them, pull it off, swipe with rubbing alcohol to get rid of residue, and try taping again in one thin layer. Hope that works for you.

I tried masking tape on my MDDI, but the tape just gets pushes down and comes off :/

Has anyone tried plumber's tape? Then there's not any actual sticky part either. It's really cheap and you can get it anywhere that has a hardware department. I haven't had to try it yet myself but I thought if I ever had a problem I'd give it a go.

you mean teflon tape the white ribboney stuff? it works great. its whats keeping my momo legs on momo

Since you said "airplane pose" i guess you mean holding the arms out to the side rather than in front. If so then I don't think taping the peg will help much.

 

To me it sounds more like the shoulder joint itself is loose. If the MDD skeleton is somewhat similiar to the DD skeleton, then there's a screw and nut in the shoulder joint that can be tightened.

An MDD3 with loose shoulders? I didn't have much trouble popping the shoulder joint out of the vinyl on my MDD3, I'd recommend doing that and tightening the screws first. And at least with MDD3, the worst case scenario is buying a new set of arms.
