Bookworm Haruhi

Recommended Posts

finnleo

Well this time i had decided that i've neglected my master of disaster for long enough...

Also Haruhi got to wear one of the first new old stock volks outfits I got in the mail last friday, along with a small paper prop I had made in advance.

Was rather pleased with the results, despite the junk in the background, and the knowledge that Id need more pairs of glasses than the Nagato-ones I currently only have...

But otherwise, I hope you like the set:

Haruhi's looking good as a bookworm! Quite a contrast to her "master of disaster" personality Kind of like a Haruhi-Yuki mix.

Nice props! I bet she's quite comfy in that meccano chair, keeping the nordic cold out with a warm sweater while reading her favorite book.

Well, the backgroud "junk" just adds more detail to the pictures Too clean can be boring. Besides, looks like she's got plenty of nice books to read.

mm, well.. considering is this in or out of character is a bit difficult, since you never really see (or get to imagine) haruhi off the clock so to speak within the books or animation, you have to remember she's actually well literated underneath it all.

But it was a fun little shoot, since I managed to extract my idea pretty nicely from what I had imagined in my head, the meccano chair idea included that popped up during last week while waiting for the outfits to arrive.

To quote hannibal smith, I love it when a plan comes together.

The background point is true, but there is some consideration I have to make as to how much of my man-cave I want to show... even here i had to resort to minor camoflage.

Haven't read the books and it's been quite a while since I watched the series so my memory is a bit vague but I do remember thinking there was something more to her character than the series showed. I guess her literary side is revealed even more in the books.

Hehe, yeah, I know what you mean. I'm faced with the same problem every time I try to do any photography indoors. Some times I wonder though if I have the tinfoil hat pulled down a bit too far on my head and let the paranoia drive me too far in trying to hide stuff.
