Not sure. In the scanned pictures I did see a silhouette placeholder with text talking about the new SD Standard Models they'll be unveiling.

 

I'm expecting my VN57 to arrive on Wednesday-ish, so when I can read the full thing I'll see if there's anything more mentioned about the new dollfie line on a different page that wasn't scanned.

Ok, Illya is semi-white, but does she come with other hands than the gloves ones ? Otherwise, she is stuck into her default pretty much forever until there are option parts available ?

Heh, the SD Gou guy would make a good John Barrowman/Jack Harkness. Just needs slightly less angry eyebrows and he's ready to flirt his way through the universe!

 

Not feeling any tugs from the new releases, DD or SD, but. . . does anyone know what doll is modeling the male kimono sets? I usually don't get drawn in by boys, but I'm liking this guy.

 

Where this Dolpa is getting me is the clothes. Oh god, my wallet is crying in pain because of the clothes. Sailor sets I don't usually go for, but something about the white and plaid combo is calling to me, especially the one Miku is wearing; only thing that would make them better is if the plaid were blue-and-red Elliot tartan. The corset sets are pretty dang cute too, and that halter-top short kimono set just screams Miku--though I don't know if I'll go for the set itself or if I'll make her something similar in different colors. The pastel Tenshi no Koromo outfits are adorable as well, and I wish the purple one came in people size because I'd totally wear it.

 

It looks like the font on the "Dollfie Best Selection" part is too small to read; has Volks done anything like that in the past we can extrapolate from? Because those ankle boots and white sandals are adorable.

Default outfit yes, but that's not actually a new development--she's shown up out of default clothes on the DD Blog a few times now. However, that *is* still the Senbonzakura eyes and wig, which are *still* the only eyes and wig we've seen her in besides her default turquoise. Bit frustrating for those of us who are curious what she looks like in other colors.

Ah, okay. My first thought was that the "new line" was that batch of angel SDs, which I think would be a letdown for resin fans as well as us. Hopefully you're right that the info is on a page that wasn't scanned.

Illya should come with normal hands- Saber Extra came with regular feet in addition to the boots, and we see Illya's hands in her school uniform set.

 

I just see that stern looking SD fellow and think that he would make a great Levi (from Attack on Titan). That may be Volks thoughts as well :3

Ah, my monitor color settings must've been off. It looked like she was wearing a Miku style wig, but in gray. I see the green tint now.

This really depends though XD; A lot of DDs go for like $1500+++ second hand, his secondhand prices are pretty decent, for head only etc. You can easily get like, a head and a Switch body which looks very similar to SD17, so that would be like $500 + $510, $1010 + a bit extra on separate shipping which is not half bad!

Only downside is if you hybrid him you can't bring him to a Dolpa, that and the slight differences in coloring, obviously. ^^ I loooove the SD17 body, so I think it is worth every cent, but that's me~

Saitou Hajime wants me to bring him home, and his oh-so-strong brow-line. >w< Isami Kondou is just a bit too much for me. I am also still not that big of a fan of the SD Gou body, I'd rather save up and get a IH EID or something if I'm looking for muscle-bound men (or even better a Spirit doll Herculean body!) The SwD ver. of Souji Okita is adorable though too, and I would definitely consider him or Hajime if they were cheapter, but I can't really afford $1100 for either of them! ><;; Oh, but Volks always makes it worth it!

 

Youmu Konpaku...seems kinda dull IMO. Far from favorite Touhou, but I'm also just not a fan of the mold. I don't really care for this Illya...I like the original one more. As I'm all boys now, I wouldn't consider bringing back girls anyways, but figured as a DD forum I should give my opinion on them. :P

I wonder if by new they meant having the SDMidi bodies be available for FCS? Hmm. So much cute stuff this time around though. Hinata!!! Plus, the clothes are to die for.

Illya is really adorable and I would love to try for her, but it may not be possible for me right now. I'm also a teensy bit disappointed its not a revamp of her original sculpt

Wow so many nice things and such a variety! Something for everyone's taste this round.

 

Prisma Illya is adorable and spot on for the anime. If you have not seen it check it out! Its a much more light-hearted anime compared to the usual fate stay fare. The original MDD Illya looked like the crafty little witch she was, and fit that fate franchise. Prisma Illya is supposed to be sugar sweet and cute. Volks did a good job on that.

 

Youmu could have a lot of potential out of default. A good wig and eye change will do wonders. I don't think her head sculpt is bad, but then, I see the potential in every sculpt to be great!

 

I like the yaya-esque outfits, the sexy off shoulder kimonos are quite nice. Of course the lollipop outfits are adorable and saccharin filled, love the fact they are pinstriped!

 

As usual I am abstaining from this round, and now it is Volks fault for further fueling my hope and dreams Kaleido Ruby Rin will be a reality. That necomimi and tsundere face

It's too bad that the blue lollipop dress Miki is modeling isn't for DDdy too. >.< I would love that one for my Allison (DDdy Alna) since I think she looks great in blue. But l won't let that stop me from getting it along with the other two lollipop dresses, I have to have them all. They are just too cute and girly for me to resist.

It's not often that all the outfits coming out for DD make me think "aw hell, I'm screwed, hello debt."

I'm sure if anyone going for the lolita kimono, they will be after the shoes anyway lol. Though with such high-heel and geta style shoes design, I'm not sure how DD feet will fit in those.
