cetuslupeedus Posted July 18, 2024 (edited) Sorry for being the nekomancer and bringing this thread back to life (reanimate!), but in general, I would say I love lots of animals. Chimps, for one, don't make the list (thanks Travis), and definitely not spiders either, but many some may find odd do. Like snakes. I love snakes. But to keep to the vein of this thread, although I love both dogs and cats, I think I prefer cats over dogs. Especially black cats. I mean, how can you not love this: This is my special bby, Asriel. ❤️ I had several dogs while I was growing up—most who have met unfortunate ends at the hands of my father—but they never gave me the love this boy, and my two other black cats, Ralsei and Susie, do. @rudebuster and I love them very much. And I highly doubt she'd let me get a small white snake and name it Kaburamaru, so take what I can, I guess. 🤷♀️ Don't like elephants much either, thanks to a little trip I took to the zoo when I was a young loaf and was met with the sight of baby elephant digging its trunk into its mother's— Maybe I should end that there. Hippos and their mukspraying, too. But cats are the biggest, furriest, cutest babies on the planet. Even cuter than human babies. I know what I said. MoiBakaDesu Posted July 19, 2024 Very much a cat person, and I have a fur-baby at home as well. (Which is sometimes a bit of a curse with my dolls that wear a lot of black clothes.)
PlasticJester Posted July 19, 2024 Cat person here~! I don't currently have a cat, but my girlfriend has two I call my stepsons. Dogs scare me, to be honest, even small ones.
Giallo_Gatta Posted July 19, 2024 Definitely a cat person! I like dogs too, but tbh a lot of them are kind of sensory hell to be around in large doses. Anywho, here are my 'sons'! Beignet🤎 and Praline🧡!
Bramble Posted October 9, 2024 I'm definitely a cat person too. I grew up with cats, dogs, chickens... and later owned a snake and rats, but now I'm down to just my one kitty and he's all I need. I'm allergic, but dealing with it is completely worth it imo.
amiamitchi Posted October 9, 2024 i grew up with two dogs and 1/6 scale dolls, but now i have 1/3 scale dolls and two cats lol
hospitalitydoll Posted November 7, 2024 Cat person here as well! Dogs are just too much work; they're like children who never grow up. Cats are much more laid back.
Calyps0Kitt3n Posted November 7, 2024 Cat lover all the way! Don't currently have any pets, but grew up with many cats and a family dog. Don't have the space for pets in my current apartment, so my dolls have been filling that void in some ways lol. Outside of "cats or dogs" tho, I would love to have the time and space for fish again! Miss taking care of my old Betta a lot nowadays. Fish are just so interesting and beautiful. 🐟

Yeka Posted December 30, 2024 I'm definitely a dog person! I currently only have one doggo, a good boi who is a 13 year old mini dachshund. He's old but a sweetie. I do like cats, especially orange single brain cells and void kitties. But doggos win the space in my house.
cetuslupeedus Posted December 31, 2024 Void kitties are my thing! And the Wicked Witch from Hell had two dachshunds, one she saved from a puppy mill (though honestly, and I really hate to say this, the poor girl was better off at the puppy mill). I don't know what she did to the other, but after I ran away from that house and refused to go back—and then eventually did go back years later for my stepsister's wedding—that dog needed therapy. He lived a better life than the first (I'll spare you the gory details), and he was a happy little guy too. Even if he was kind of dumb. 😆 I grew up with dogs, but after having to deal with my mother's monster chocolate lab as a puppy, I reconsidered it. Then there was the one-headed Cerberus named Bentley... oh my god, never again. I swear that dog was a Hellhound sent straight from Satan herself (hi, stepmother). 1 Sometimes you're Godzilla and sometimes you're Tokyo.
