Mimori is borrowing Haruhi's wig. Makes her look very different, maybe shorter hair is nice for the summer?

 

 

Omake: I didn't have any specific plans where to shoot so I ended up riding around 15 km from home until I found a place without too many spectators. On the way home I caught up to a fast road bike and managed to keep up with him despite me being on a 15-year old cheapo mountain bike from the recycling center, haha!

 

She looks very well with Haruhi's wig! And seems to be more mature too ! Your photos are beautiful!

I usually find difficult to look at the 04 head as adult characters (mine is on a mdd) but she looks really mature! She's beautiful.

Yeah, I think a "little sister" base body - something between the current sister and MDD - would be optimal for a 04! But it's surprising how radically just switching the wig and eyes can change a doll's look.

Just a few quick indoors pictures today. Next week there's a big convention coming up, hopefully going to see and photograph lots of dolls there!

 

 

The 07 girl might be for sale (preferably for an European buyer), Volks pre-painted DDH-07 head, DD2 body and those eyes for maybe 350€? Send me a PM if interested, I'm not going to make a sales thread just yet at least.

A few pictures from the doll meet at Desucon. This was probably the biggest meet we've had here so far with 11 dolls and we were missing quite many. I went to the con with three dolls and came back with one and one floating head, 07 girl and Haruhi's DD2 body found new owners.

Oh wow; such a great meet! Too many DDs ^^ your girls are really pretty (I'm assuming the 07 is your 07 because your Mimori is quite recognizable) and also Maarit's Aoko and Boa, but all of them are very beautiful!

The Neris is quite natural beauty just using part of her default outfit and Maria Misora is really original with that gray and black outfit ^^

Yeah, me too! It's a shame her owner doesn't post here, she's got a real nice fashion sense and takes lovely photos as well.

 

I really want to have another outdoors dollfie meet soon, it's just so much more fun with many people and dolls around compared to doing everything yourself. Still, I took Mimori for a short trip around the block and found a cute place with some nice flowers and managed to get one decent picture.

 

 

She's wearing a new outfit from nine9style and the picture is shot with a Fuji X-Pro1 with the Fujinon 35mm lens, snatched one off a local sale and been pretty happy with it so far! If you browse my flickr gallery further, there's a small convention set I shot with the Fuji. Very similar usability and slightly better picture quality than the X100 I had before and interchangeable lenses make it more versatile - I'd really want the 56mm f/1.2 lens for this even though I already have the very similar 85mm f/1.2 for my Canon, haha.

Went on a short bike adventure around town, there's some ancient wartime ruins nearby and also an abandoned estate of some sort, one of my favorite places to take photos at - makes for interesting backgrounds, there's lots of wild flowers and very rarely any people.

The Fuji seems to be a very nice camera for doll photography since it's so easy to carry around. I was thinking of getting some old manual focus lenses for it - a Canon FD 55mm f/1.2 costs under 200 euros while the Fujinon 56mm f/1.2 is over a thousand! There might be some other hidden gems too, Leica M glass probably is way too expensive to be worth it but maybe there's something adaptable from a more obscure system.

Yesterday there was a cosplay event on a nearby beach and I took Mimori with me, didn't find any other Dollfie Dreams there though!

 

 

The event itself was a lot of fun, a warm and sunny day and lots of colorful swimsuit cosplays - don't see much of those at regular conventions! Here's the rest of the pictures I took there if you're interested:

 

It's been a really hot week here and the heat was melting the eye putty off on Mimori, so when I did a tune-up on her I decided to try changing her eyes to the other pair I had lying around (Volks J-Type green I think). Matched with Haruhi's dark wig she had quite a change of character from the usual sweetheart to a bit of a yandere character!

Very interesting since I thought that'd be the last look the DDH-04 would be capable of, but not sure if I'm comfortable with her watching me sleep...

Maybe I'll return her to normal soon, haha. Maybe this is an evil twin sister or something.

Dollfie selfie! From a recent Japan trip Mimori got a new pair of hands, a set of Volks underwear and an adorable although hideously expensive dollfie-sized parasol. Haruhi on the other hand returned with an entirely new body, she's now an MDD3! Pictures of her soon too, hopefully!

Can I suggest red eyes for creepymode/evil sister?

Haha, I think I do have a spare pair of pink eyes somewhere, maybe I should try how they look! Not entirely sure where they even came from, but I do remember being seriously creeped out when I tried them on a DDH-07 head we had before..

I really enjoyed browsing through all of your pictures. You have many lovely shots and have captured many pretty girls.

Hahaha! I just love this. Its just too adorable. Tops my own DD selfie I posted with my Suki. There should have a DD selfie thread just for photos like this.

Been on summer vacation for a week now but haven't had much of a chance to play with dolls, so far spent most of my time watching Gundam and riding my new Cinelli bicycle I got last week.

 

Today it was a rainy day though so cycling was a no go, decided to take Mimori out for a short photoshoot with a somewhat-DD-sized umbrella she got as a souvenir from Japan.
