Eustia Posted February 11, 2014 My DD Yukino arrived yesterday. The wig I ordered from ForMyDoll was already waiting, but today the eyes from ErsaFlora arrived, so I can finally put her together; Still waiting on some other parts, and I still need to get her outfit made, but she is coming along. I think her eyes are a little crooked, though. It's my first time doing this, so I will need to play around some to get it right I suppose!

Eustia Posted April 9, 2014 An update: My new head arrived a few days ago. I've been busy so didn't have time to put the eyes in and all that, which is pretty tedious work for me with hand difficulties. Got it done today, though. Terrible lighting due to being night, I'll try to get some better ones soon, though I also can't really be bothered until her outfit is done. ;.; But I do need to show her face better, since it is so lovely. A custom DDH 06 faceup by http://chiseen.net/ eyes by Ersaflora, and the wig is from formydoll as previously mentioned. The outfit I am getting made (eventually...) will be a complete custom done locally. She's coming together, anyway! And yes, I know the eyes are wonky. ;.; I suck at it. Need to rejig them a bit yet again. I didn't bother in the old head because I was getting another, but this time I really need to set them properly. >.<
bellalupina Posted April 9, 2014 She looks great! And even if they're a little crooked, those eyes are fantastic. I love the vibrant color!
Eustia Posted October 9, 2015 The sad, long story of my first girl continues. I had given her to a local crafty person to make her dress, however as she was having eye problems after having had lasik surgery on them, she was unable to get much done. It's been 18 months now, and my girl has finally come home... with half an outfit. The local seamstress managed to finish the top, and do about half of the skirt, but is just too frustrated with limited short range vision to continue, so my girl is home, and I have to find a new seamstress. In the interim year and a half, I've bought eight other dolls, and have a ninth on the way. I gave the original wig I had bought for her to a friend, so I've just ordered a new one (and one for another girl). Is a quick snap of her current state, with a temporary wig and skirt. I hope to be able to find somebody to finish the outfit, though. I'm really glad to have my girl home; she was my first, after all! I've not made a family introduction thread yet due to having been waiting on my dear Rin to come home, but I may do one in the near future now my girls are all home... though I did just send a head off for a faceup on another girl, so may have to wait til she's back, too. SydiaYuki Posted October 9, 2015 Wow a complicate story, at least now you have your first girl home, that's the important thing , i can only imagine how stressful could have been to have your girl away for 18 months If you need help with the skirt/outfit i can sew it along your other outfit and send them both to you together , so you can save on shipping ****** My Custom DD outfits shop ******My Custom Faceups shop ****** Girls at home: Lilac - DD2 WS + DDH-06 /Primrose - White Christmas Alna head /Iris - DDS NS + DDH-05 modded /Amaryllis - MDD NS + DDH-06 modded

I'm not entirely sure what she planned to do with the seam. It's all pinned together at the moment. Skirt even has lovely frills and all. My local seamstress did lovely work, but just wasn't able to finish it. I understand health woes all too well, so I don't hold it against her. I was planning to go to the local craft store to see if I could find someone who may be able to finish it, but it'll probably be easier (and potentially quicker) to send the skirt to somebody overseas. This country has an insignificant DD community, I certainly don't know of any sewers here. >.< It does unfortunately add extra cost, having to ship it overseas, then pay for the work and shipping back. ;.; Which is why I want to try locally first. Sure! Is better for you to try first locally, if the skirt is almost finished probably even a normal seamstress without dolls ' knowledge can complete it I really understand the problem of having a not really relevant DD community, here in italy is basically the same, along with me and Pharaviel there are only others 2-3 DD collectors we know off (Bellatrix is one of them obviously) and some other few DDs around in possession of some bjd owners which are not really interested in the DD hobby, they are basically standard models (Aoi and Yukino usually) which they hardly customize at all and often sell them to others after some time However i'm happy you finally have your girl home, i would go crazy after just some months with one of my girl away Edited October 10, 2015 by Guest ****** My Custom DD outfits shop ******My Custom Faceups shop ****** Girls at home: Lilac - DD2 WS + DDH-06 /Primrose - White Christmas Alna head /Iris - DDS NS + DDH-05 modded /Amaryllis - MDD NS + DDH-06 modded

Eustia Posted October 21, 2015 Her new wig arrived today, so I tried it on and added her ears. A little messy, but I can't be bothered fixing the wig properly when the head is on a temporary body anyway. I've found a local seamstress who may be able to finish the outfit, so I have that on her original body (for correct sizing and all) and will see her about it later this week. So this first girl of mine is actually on my newest body (a unibody L) which is awaiting her head. It's all coming together slowly!
